How is the Plaza?

I was wondering how the Plaza is? I don't seem to see much about it, except for ice cream.

They have a pretty basic menu of sandwiches, burgers, and meatloaf. The food is pretty good and relatively inexpensive by Disney standards. I really enjoy the cheese steak sandwich and DH loves the chicken salad with strawberries. The only downside to the restaurant is that it is very small and tables are in pretty close quarters. It can feel like you're sharing a table with your neighbors.

We really enjoy eating there! The food is decent and the service has always been excellent. They don't have a large menu selection, but it you are fine with a burger or sandwich for dinner, then it's a TS dinner location as well. I've enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Cheese Steak Sandwich there, while hubby usually sticks with the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger. The kids Grilled Chicken Strips are also pretty popular with our kids. It's not "fabulous", but it's pretty good and a nice budget-friendly dinner option.

If you are having a late dinner there, you can also catch a side view of the Electrical Parade as it's going down Main Street if you are seated near a window (or even in the center) as well as a view of the Castle. It's hard to make out in my pic, but the castle is centered straight back outside of the window.


It's really a nice view at night!

The only downside I can think of is that there is no bathroom inside of the restaurant. But, there is one right next door, so it's not bad... unless it's raining. Either way, The Plaza is one of our favorite dining spots!

We enjoyed it when we went last trip. Got the grilled chicken sandwich which was good! Made reservations to go back in November. It's a good place to break in the middle of a MK day

I love it. Its a great break at the MK. Nice TS restaurant with light food....no heavy pasta, no hot pot roast dinner!! You can leave there ready to walk another 10 miles around the park!

We're fans of the Plaza Restaurant too! In fact, it's our last day lunch tradition. Great, fresh sandwiches, awesome steak fries, and of course the sundaes for dessert. Service has always been great.

I ate there first time last October. I will definitely go back. It's a basic meal, but perfectly fine, decent quality. It's not going to be your "fanciest" meal, or maybe not your most memorable. The highlight is of course the ice cream.

I haven't been now for a few years but I always enjoyed it for what it was. A somewhat upmarket sandwich, burger & ice cream place. I don't find the seating all that comfortable. As others have mentioned the tables are close together & the chairs are not that wonderful. I always have the vegetarian sandwich . . . I'm not a vegetarian . . . but love the flavour & freshness. Be sure to make room for their original banana split. The milk shakes are also good. Very tasty. Its a good choice when you want a sit down restaurant, have the time to spend (or need the air conditioning) and are paying OOP. If you are in a hurry and just want less $ and tasty food, then Sleepy Hollow may be a better choice.

We enjoyed the Plaza last fall. DH had the meatloaf meal and cleaned his plate. He enjoyed it greatly, but didn't leave room for a great dessert. I had the cheesesteak sandwich which I thought was great. I did not feel the tables were too close together. We were very comfortable.
We would go again.

The Plaza is great! It has good, simple food and a nice atmosphere. There really seemed to be something for everyone in our party to enjoy. I love that it is a TS restaurant at close-to QS prices. When we went for lunch it was so nice to not have to wait in long lines for our food and then hunt for an open table. It has a great location too!

I LOVE the plaza! Its a cozy little restaurant with light offerings, cause sometimes you just dont want a huge steak or big bowl of pasta for lunch! They have great salads and sandwiches, THE BEST fries ever, and the best sundaes. Best of all, its pretty cheap for a TS restaurant!

We enjoy the Plaza. The food is basic and inexpensive, but quite good, and we've always had outstanding service there.

as everywhere some will have a great experience and some awful. Personally we had one of the worst WDW experiences here. Other than the appalling service I would say that the desserts were above average but entrees were no better than the average counter service at table service prices.

I would say it's okay. The food was pretty good but nothing special. I'd much rather go to Liberty Tree in MK.

Even though the Plaza has a basic and simple menu, heavy on sandwiches, the quality of the food is distinctly better than the same items at one of the resort food courts. We did not feel crowded at our table. I like the Belle Époque theme.
