DW and I are thinking of going in 2006 and thought this may be between Spring break and April School vacations.

Anyone have any experience at this time?

That's peak season and for the last three years it's been spring break for GA. We were there last year and this year and the crowds were heavy. Definitely want to stay onsite.

Not much more to say about the crowds. Expect them to be heavy. Not Christmas or July 4 heavy, but heavy. It's a peak time to go. Lots of spring breaks/school vacations.

Average highs in Orlando for the first week of April are in the low 80s. Morning lows are in the upper 50s. But you could get some days well into the 80s and others that don't get out of the low 70s. Plus you could have some mornings in the 40s.

Thank you for posting this! We are making plans for 2 trips, our honeymoon in Sept. and one for next spring break with the family. It will be my stepsons spring break. Trying to decide when to go.
