How is the construction noise at Grand Californian?

We are planning a trip in May and considering staying at Grand Californian. The cast member warned me that they are doing construction there on the new DVC area of the hotel. He said that the recent DVC work at Animal Kingdom Lodge at WDW was going on day and night. Should I be concerned? I am not particularly fussy about noise, but banging equipment keeping me awake in the middle of the night would probably be an issue.

We were there a few weeks ago and they were only doing construction during the day. We were staying at the PPH so we didn't notice much noise but we had a great view of the construction. Even when we walked past the construction I didn't notice too much noise.

We had a standad room across what will be the new courtyard area between DVC and the main lobby/atrium rooms. It was fine during the day and quiet at night. They are doing what they can to buffer the noise. I would say it isn't that much noisier than when it was an open aea with Theme park view - you always heard a lot of Mullholland Madness screaming and then the grassy wedding area had kids playing underneath or music and crowd noise from the weddings.
