Decided to stop lurking on the boards and register....my first post.
Anyway, I got Sunterra Cypress Pointe Resort for $95 a night for a two bedroom (splitting the cost with my parents) for 6 people. Has anyone been there recently? We're going in mid August...ugh...any recommendations on which building to ask for? Thanks!

Be sure and ask for The Grande Villas which is the newer part of this resort. If you go to the top of the page and do a search of Cypress Pointe you'll find loads of information. We've been fortunate to stay with my family (they are owners) at Cypress Pointe for the past 7 years and love it!;)

Have fun!

OOPS!!!!!!!!! Welcome to the DIS boards! Nice to see you "coming out of your shell"! LOL:wave:

Here is a current page with photos of the volcano pool renovation, nearing completion. They have two other pools open as well. It seems as if things are coming along well there. Have a fun trip! It's a nice resort in a great location! :)

We stayed in the older ones in April. They were fine, clean, everyone was pleasant and the 2 BR was great, (also the 2 baths and washer dryer). They were refab. the pool nearest us during our stay and the walk was long to the other pools, these are near the newer villas -which do look nicer. We knew about it so we couldn't complain. They did call twice to ask about attending a welcome breakfast, we said no both times as we had not agreed to that during our stay.
