How is Rainforest Cafe for food allergies?

I'm trying to figure out if we want to try eating breakfast here. My daughter and I have food allergies (gluten, shellfish, tree nuts, coconut are the main ones). Anyone have experience eating here? Thank you.:)

Check out AllergyFreeMouse.com. I believe they have a Rainforest Cafe review there.

I am severely allergic to all fish and have had no problems with cross contamination at Rainforest in Animal Kingdom

We ate at the Rainforest in Disneyland so if the chain handles it the same they were good. The Manager came and went thru the items with you and then went to double check with the chef.

I have a peanut allergy and regularly eat at the Rainforest Cafe here at home. They have sent the chef out to talk to me about what I can have or offer what items can be changed.

I eat out a lot, and I have to say that most restaurants these days have procedures in place for people who alert their servers to their needs. I do avoid buffets, though. I'm always afraid someone will have "moved" something or spilled something into a place it doesn't belong.

Thanks everyone.:thumbsup2 I checked out Rainforest Cafe's website and it didn't say anything about food allergies. That's why I was wondering how they would handle it at Disney's Animal Kingdom since it's on Disney property. Do they have to complete the same kind of allergy training? I'm really paranoid, not so much for me as my allergies aren't life threatening but more so for my daughter. She is deathly allergic to tree nuts, specifically pecans, pistachios and hazelnuts as well as shellfish.

Before we knew about mine and my daughter's food allergies, we used to love eating at the Rainforest Cafe, it's very nostalgic for us.:) I'd love to add it in for breakfast but I'm still sort of nervous. We will have epipens with us though. Thanks again for the input!:)

They were quite careful with our little one. A chief came out and answered all our questions. They are NOT wdw owned so there have been some reports of less that careful service but that was not our experience.
