We're looking to book one more TS - somewhere at Downtown Disney. How is Raglan Road? Or is there somewhere else in DTD that you can recommend? We're just 2 adults, no kids this time :cool1:

I loved it. I had the beer sampler and this: Paddy's Pork - Tasty pork loin stuffed with our homemade sausage meat drizzled with honey soy glaze. Served with buttered leeks, cabbage and mashed potatoes. $19.95

We love Raglan Road! Just ate there a few weeks ago and it was great. Good food and terrific music!

If you'd like to read a review and see some pictures click on the last link in my signature (The Food was Not Undelicious). The first post will direct you to the review.

Hope you enjoy it if you decide to go. :goodvibes

We loved Raglan Road and would definitely go back! My dessert was a piece of cake the size of my head! You get a lot of food for the money, and the food is great.

It's a must do for us, every trip.
Lot's of great food (and beer) to choose from!

It was amazing when we went in May! I personally didn't enjoy the Shepard's Pie, but honestly it was just not what "I" wanted that night I think. The Paddy's Pork and the Drunk Chicken though were out of this world.

I will be going here again next time I make it to Disney and I highly recommend it!

The fish and chips were great. We enjoyed the music and Irish dancing. Take a sweater because the restaurant is cold. You might ask for a sample of the ranch dressing before you order it because it is very different from the usual ranch . Be prepared to sit a bit because the service was slow when we went. Frankly, it was generally slow and inattentive just about everywhere we ate at WDW last month.

Contrarian opnion here. Perhaps because of having no Irish blood in my body, I didn't find this place that great. I was disappointed in the sheppards pie (thought Rose & Crown was much better), and I can get a Guinness anywhere.

I have a not-so-popular response too, I'm sorry! I look for honesty in restaurant reviews myself, so hopefully it's taken for what it is - one couple's experience.

DH had Kevin's Bacon and hated it - said that you could buy a better slab of overcooked and dry ham at the Piggly Wiggly in the pre-cooked-pre-packaged deli area. I had the Bangers and Mash - and they were so bland and greasy I couldn't even finish one (there were two sausages on the plate). Rose and Crown had a much better version.

That being said, we really enjoyed the music! The band was great - and we still sing the 2 lines from the song that we can remember. :)

Shepards pie is blah no matter where you get it..lol, and guinness..at raglan road, with all they have to offer..no wonder you didn't like it.

I wasn't to fond of it either. Just wasn't my type of food, and I like a lot of different things.

I went exactly two weeks ago tonight, largely because of oybolshoi's recommendation ;) , and we loved it! We decided on a relaxed grown-up evening, rather than an uber-romantic fancy one, and felt we hit the nail perfectly on the head for atmosphere. We loved our food, as well!

We've been twice and the food was great both times. The first time we had a fantastic meal foodwise and service wise. Last time the food was enjoyable but the service was horrid- from a long wait for our ADR, to a ill fitting table (they wanted us to put a high chair and a wheelchair at the end of a high tabled booth), to getting our entrees before our appetizer. That being said- everything was excellent- the smoked salmon appetizer ws great and i love their bread and butter pudding. Even with poor service- we are going to give it another go since our first time was so great.

We ate there last September and were disappointed.
Here is whyL the food was just okay. We went at a dead time (5pm) and there was no music - though we did know that a head of time. I dida not think it would matter but with out the fesitvness of the music and crowds- it was not very fun.
Also our waitress seemed to be having a bad day and not happy to be there.

Another item IMO - it is not for kids. Next time I try it - I will not take DD7 and go later in the evening with DH.

Give it a try - just go later than we did!
Have a great trip.

That's why I love these boards! Thanks for ALL of the opinions. I love getting the good, the bad AND the ugly!!!!:thumbsup2

My shepherd's pie is not blah, whole family loves it! Bangers are different to American sausage and the traditional Bangers and mash does not come with cabbage as the Rose & Crown serves even though cabbage is big in England Peas would be the norm served with it. I'm trying it next visit, Probably lunch and fancy the Bangers , shepherds pie or Fish & chips, desserts look good too .Any suggestions?

I had the Shepard's Pie, and all I can say is, "Yum!!"

Can you explain a little more how American and Irish sausage differ? The Mash looked really good to me, but am not curios what to expect if they are different?
