How is Raglan Road?

I have a few questions about Raglan Road. How is the food? Do people prefer lunch or dinner? And what are the hours for lunch and dinner? My DS and I are taking Nana with us in June and she was looking at the menu last night and thought it looked good. Any opinions?

We are trying it in October. We did walk into the store attached to the restaurant in Dec and the restaurant looks beautiful. I can't wait to try it!

Oh, we are doing dinner and using the dining plan. :)

We ate there for the first time last Saturday night and it was great! We planned a late ADR of 8:30 PM so that we could enjoy the music and dancing!

We were in the great room front and center! We love Irish music and it was great to eat a wonderful meal and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of the place.

We plan to return there on our next trip! :thumbsup2

We went in for drinks in December. We were in the main room with the stage right infront of us. The music was GREAT and the dancing was wonderful! We got chatting with two other couples and had a great time. We had just ate elsewhere and wished we had room to try something. Both couples had really enjoyed their meals. We went in around 8:30ish. Perfect timing. You'll love this place.

We ate here in January. Our entrees were ok, but we enjoyed our dessert. Service wasn't very good, and it seemed like everyone was confused. I wouldn't come here to eat again - I would come back to just hang out and enjoy the music and dancer. I liked the look of the restaurant.

This is now one of our must do places. We have been there 3 times and think it is wonderful. We always had great service and the food is really good. We usually have the appetizer ribs as an entree and an order of fish and chips. The bread and butter pudding is to die for.

I went the first week of April with my SIL and we LOVED it so much that I went back alone after she went home. This is one of two restaurants I like enough to dine solo! The restaurant is beautiful and I think the food is great. Lots of offerings you can't get elsewhere and lots of great beers. We went for lunch and will definately return for dinner with our families. We also hope to get out for a later dinner sans kids for dinner and the entertainment.

Mu husband and I ate at Raglan Road for the first time this past Friday night and we loved it! He got the whiskey marinated steak and I had the salmon and both were very good. We also shared the soufle dessert, which was awfully hard to share!! The atmosphere was excellent. We had made 8:00pm reservations which was perfect because the entertainment started with a pre-show at 8:45 and then a full show at 9pm. Our waitress let us hang out even after we had finished dessert to watch the whole show. I really can't say enough good things about it. We will definitely go back!

Do you need reservations? We were hoping to pop in at night to enjoy the entertainment & a light meal (just the 2 adults if in-laws will babysit!). What time does the Irish music go on?

The band starts at 9. I loved the appetizers. The main course was good but the appetizers were better!

Thanks for the advice - appetizers & drinks sounds fine! I guess we'll pick a date & make reservations! 3 weeks away!

It is a pub and restaurant. I know kids can go in with their parents. I do not know if they allow unaccompanied teens there.

My DH and I went in March and very much enjoyed our meal and service....I didn't realize it at the time he didn't like the music so while I could have stayed and listened for hours we left soon after the music began.

We went there last Oct and I think it was the day after it opened. They had a limited menu and there was no band yet, but the service and food was wonderful. We talked to the bartender while we waited for our table, and she told us a bit about the place. The bartenders are Ireland natives and the bar is wood directly from Ireland too.

I had the fish n chips and dh had the shepards pie. Mine was great and he told me it was one of the best shepards pies he had ever had...and he is somewhat of an expert on the subject!

Great place! :thumbsup2

We ate there in Oct, shortly after it opened. The food was good but pricey; we said at the time we wouldn't eat dinner there again due to the value but with free dining, we're going to eat dinner there again =) However, we def would return for drinks, dessert, and entertainment. We ate late so we could hear the band and see the dancing and it quickly became the place to be for adults and conventioners, which was such a nice change of pace at Disney. No drunk and wild behavior or anything, just adults. DH and I plan to return there several nights on our next trip for a nightcap =)

The atmosphere is gorgeous!!!

So glad to hear so many positives. DS23 and his best friend 22 have ADR's there in September.

My DS is such an Irish nut (being his ancestors on his dad's side actually came from there and there's a town there that bares their last name).

This is the place other than Coral Reef I think he is so excited about!

Question though, if they have an earlier ADR, but finish dinner will they be able to move over to a bar area to enjoy more of their night? He's not sure how late he wants to stay, because of going to the park the next day. I offered to try to get a later ADR for him, he said no. If he wants to stay later he said he'd figure it out.

We dined there for the first time earlier this month and we'll be back. We had an early AR and it was very quiet then.

Evil Queen, I sure would think so...it is an Irish Pub, right!?
