We are going to have a car for two nights while in Disney.
How is the parking situation with all the construction going on in DTD?
I thought we would drive for a change but if its crazy and a long walk then we might just take the bus.

Thanks in advance!

parking was horrible BEFORE the construction. Even if you take the bus, you will find long delays as the buses are affected by the heavy traffic. I suggest getting off at the first DTD stop (used to be over by Goofy's Kitchen), and getting on at the last stop (which used to be over by Cirque du Soleil)

It's a disaster, tried to drive there yesterday, won't do that again. Traffic in the area is backed up even by bus it will take extra time.

Good to know, I have been wondering about how traffic and parking has been affected by the construction. We'll be down in a week or so and do have plans at DTD one evening. We'll have a car, so I guess we'll leave plenty early to give ourselves some breathing room. Sounds like fun!!

What time of day was this? I was under the impression that before noon traffic wasn't so bad...

I'm glad we booked at Saratoga so we can take the boat there.

Sept 21st I was one of the early birds to get in line at the DTD Disney store to wait for the Disney Vera Bradley bags. I got to the Disney store at 6:45am. I had no problem finding a parking space that early of course. I was sort of worried about traffic when I got ready to leave though. I left about 11:00am and traffic wasn't bad. I was back over at Bonnet Creek in about 7 or 8 minutes from the time I left the DTD parking lot.

Drove by DTD at 10 AM one day last week. Parking lots were already packed...

Decided not to bother to stop Traffic was not too bad but there is a lot of construction equipment so when it's being moved then... all bets are off.
