:confused3 DH and I are narrowing down when we will use our getaway week certificate. Orbit One shows up for one of the times we are thinking about it. What do you all think? I know the location is very close to AK and the back road to the other parks. Was it clean and comfortable? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. TIA Grammy:goodvibes

Friends of ours stayed there last summer. They said it was clean and comfortable. People who stay at Orbit One can use Liki Tiki's pool. She said her kids preferred Orbit One's pool because Liki Tiki was so crowded.

We had a nice stay at Orbit One a year ago. Clean, comfortable.....furnishings may seem a little dated, if you're really picky/but they were in good shape. And the staff was helpful:cool2:

I set my father and his family up there this past February. We had planned to be there too, but an OKW exchange came though for us last minute.

It's not really a "resort", but the units are in good shape and seem to be well-kept. He was pleased with it.

it is nice. very close to the WDW parks.

there was a review about it - see if I can find it.

Yes, I guess what I was trying to say is that if you're looking for a lot of on-property activities and amenities (like you might find at Orange Lake or Summer Bay) then this isn't the place for you---there is a pool or two with a small slide, a hot tub, and maybe a tennis court. But, if you need a well-kept unit with an excellent location to the Disney parks, Orbit One is a reliable choice.

It depends on your personal tastes. I've booked people there who like it and would go back, and people who have called me from the property complaining. The manager has been good with dealing with issues from my past experience.
I had a client stay there for 5 days during Easter week, because he waited until last minute and that was all that was available, he called and complained about everything from worn/outdated furnishings to ants in his room. This is the type of person though who is used to staying in places like Vacation Village at Parkway or Marriott. The management did quickly relocate him to another unit that was better (not perfect, for him, but better).
I think if you go in not expecting too much you'd be fine.
