DF and I are planning on disneymooning in october, and were wondering what the croweds are going to be like, and we're thinking about the halloween party, but were wondering if adults can go without children, and if it's worth going without children?

Crowds are manageable. Yes, adults can do MNSSHP without kids. Is it worth it? Only you can answer that. If you want to do it, go for it!

I went in October 2005 and plan to return the same time this year. I really like that time of year! Not only do you have the Halloween party, but you also have the food and wine festival at Epcot!

There were four women in our party (no kids) and we really enjoyed the Halloween party. The parade is fantastic (picture the Winnie the Pooh characters dressed in Halloween costumes - Eeyore was dressed as a mummy - too cute!). Just the fact that you could literally walk onto any ride was worth it for us. Plus, the park is much less crowded than on a typical day. We plan to go to the Halloween party again this year. I definitely recommend it, even though it costs extra.

Definitely plan to go to the food and wine festival. We had park hopper passes, and "hopped" to Epcot literally every day. I don't even drink wine, and had a great time! My friends went to the tastings and classes about wine, and while they were doing that, I went off on my own to explore.

Have fun!

We always go in Oct. And we have went to the Halowwen party the past 2 years and plan again this year. Honetsly I think I enjoyed it more with just my husband and I, it seemed like we didn't see as much when we took the kids lol

The party is a blast though and like the poster above said a lot of the rides are walk ons.

We love going in October and we do it every year. The crowds are lighter, there is MNSSHP (and yes, I would certainly go without kids...I think many do) and like someone else mentioned, there is the F&W Festival. Oh, and the weather is pretty nice too! :cool1: I'd highly recommend going at this time of year!

DH and i have gone in october many times

going again this coming october, too!

have been to MNSSHP (we didn't wear costumes)

enjoyed seeing others "dressed up"

weather is really nice in october - not as hot/humid, less rain, crowds manageable

we go especially during the F&W - foodies here!!!

We Disneymooned in October of 05 and had the best time! Weather was great, crowds were reasonable and we really enjoyed ourselves. Word of advice, don't do what we did and leave the very next day and expect to go to the parks etc. We had a small wedding but we were very busy leading up to it and had very little time to rest and so forth. On Tuesday, we just couldn't wake up and mostly just slept. HTH :wizard:

We arrived on October 31 one year and it was truly one of the best trips as far as crowds and wait times that we have taken. The weather was unbelievable and we literally almost walked on the rides. This was extra special for us because it was the first time we took our son and we had only gone once before for our honeymoon. The food and wine festival is so much fun. We did not attend the MNSSHP, but I have heard that it is a great. We simply chose not to spend the extra $.
