How is their food? I looked at the menu and it looked pretty good. Has anyone been there recently? Thinking of dinner one night.

Fair at best. A Disney version of Macaroni Grill and Olive Garden..but not quite as good.

We like Mama Melrose's. We usually do the flat bread pizzas and they have been very good. We had lunch there the first week of Dec. and without asking they brought us bread with the olive oil, no charge. We didn't have an adr and we were seated in about 15 minutes.

We don't do olive garden. Mama Melrose is one of my DH favorites. Give it a try.

Food is ok, nothing spectacular. Our main problem with it is the service.

Always slow, though not crowded either time we went. After our orders were taken it was difficult to find our waitress for refills or other requests. Food runners brought out the food, so we were almost finished before the waitress stopped by to ask how everything was. And the last visit we waited 20 minutes for just the check.

We thought the first bad experience was a fluke, but after the second time with the same results DBF now refuses to go there again.

Only been there once, last year. I had the chicken parmesan (at least, that's what they claimed it was.) It was awful. Chicken was bad, but putting gross spagehetti sauce and a piece of cheese on chicken, doesn't make it good parmesan.

Yuck.

I was there September 08 , the food was really great but the service was even better, had a great time there. very good menu to choose a great meal.

We went in November and we all loved it. We had couple appetizers (Soup, calamari, tomato & mozzerella), dinner (chicken parm, spicy shrimp dinner (can' t remember exact description) steak), and we all had dessert,.

Our server was great too.

How was their flatbreads? I am a vegetarian and was looking at the cheese flatbread.

We had dinner there in 06 and it was blah
We tried a last minute lunch there June 08 and it was pretty good
I would like to try dinner there again

We had dinner there in August of 2008 and thought it was fair. I agree with the assessment that it is kind of comparable to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. The flatbread was good according to DD. I had the chicken parm and I've certainly had better. We would eat there again but wouldn't go out of our way to do so.
