How is Le Cellier for kids?

I need to hear from anyone that taken kids to Le Cellier.. How is the setting? Food? Remotely kid-friendly or should we avoid it all together? I have heard excellent things, but I am afraid it's not for the kiddos.

Well, aside from Victoria & Albert's in the GF, *all* Disney restaurants are kid friendly. But, some friendlier than others, I suppose.

As far as Le Cellier goes, I don't think you'll run into any problems there.
The only two things that might go wrong are:
1) The tables are *very* close together, and this can be distracting for some little ones and
2) There are NO windows. It's supposed to be a recreation of a wine cellar, and that can lead to a touch of claustrophobia in some kids, and adults as well...

I'm sure if you search you can find plenty of pics of the dining area to help you decide.

If you go, don't miss the cheddar cheese soup...it's amazing.

We took all four of our kids last Feb. they were ages 4, 4, 8, 10. It was the best and most fun meal we had. The staff went out of there way to make the wait in the lobby fun. They played a Disney trivia game with our kids and continued it our whole meal which ended up my kids stumping the CM's. The even gave all the kids Magical Moment Certificates signed by all the receptionists and our server. It is a meal my kids still talk about. I will also say both my 4 year olds have adhd and it still worked for us. I don't think we bothered anybody with the tables being so close. I would go for it, after all this is Disney and its about the kids.

We were just there last week with kiddies the ages of: 11, 9, 7 & 9 months and they were very nice and the kids enjoyed it. Well, not as much as we adults! Delicious

On the disney website, it lists le cellier as one of its magical gathering restuarants. Magical gatherings is for all ages. So I would think it'd be fine to dine there with kids.

Go!!!!!!! I went with my 3yr old last year and he did just fine! It was our favorite meal out of 6 other Ts restaurants! It's not to be missed IMHO!

Katie (DD4) liked it a lot. I just wish the "chocolate moose" was a children's dessert because she ate mine!

We went in January with our 3 kids (16, 12 & 8) and they loved it. It was definitely kid friendly. If you have little ones, you might want to make a reservation for an early dinner seating. Our reservations were early because that's all they had and it took a while for the restaurant to fill up.

We had the best dinner of our last trip there (I thought my food at Kona edged it out a bit, but everything else at LeCellier was perfect). Our server mentioned that he was from Sault Ste. Marie, ONT...and I happened to go to University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, just across the bridge from him. He was soooooo happy to meet a person that knew his hometown well. I got a big hug, we were seated immediately, and given the "Chef's Table" service. That meant the Chef came out and personally took our orders, made special touches for our meal, and brought the kiddo's desserts out personally and they got to make their dessert right at the table with the Chef.

It was magical. It was our last full day there, the kids were starting to get worn out after almost 10 days there, and it was just the special touch that reminds me why I go back again and again (and again and again, and again - you get the point)

My kids enjoyed it. DD(8) loved the steak and DH asked if DS could meet the chef and compliment him. We still talk about the "chocolate moose" The
pretzel bread was great. We got the pirate punch there with the glowing Tinkerbell and Capt Hook and that help keep them entertained.

We have been there twice for dinner with our son. When he was 6 he said it was one of his favorites of the week. He likes steak-there was steak on the kid's menu. We had a really nice meal.

This sounds like something we would really enjoy. I was concerened about how kid-friendly it is, but after reading all of these great replies I think it is now a must do!!! Thanks for all the great advice!!!
