How is late Sept. at Vero Beach resort ?

We are staying at the Vero Beach resort in late Sept., I just wanted to know how crowded it was then and how temps. were. Thanks for any info.

It is very warm in September at Vero Beach. This year they will be renovating the pool at Vero and it will be closed from September 10-28. That may affect your travel plans if you enjoy the pool.

Well - we were there Labor Day weekend last year and it was beautiful. We had a great time! The no-see-ums were out in full force, so make sure you bring bug spray. Temps were warm. We still wore shorts at night but you would be comfortable in light pants and a short sleeve shirt. You may want to bring a light sweater if you tend to get really cold because there is a strong breeze from the ocean.

I'm a little distressed! I didn't know the pool was going to be closed and my husband and I are going from 15-19. In your opinions is it still worth it to go or should we do something else? We both love the ocean but I think we would have spent time at the pool as well. Yuck! What to do? What to do?

You might want to try calling the resort directly and see if they have made any alternate arrangements for the pool - such as pool usage it someplace nearby.

We've done Vero twice in late September and really enjoyed it.

We were going to VB for 3 nights and then driving to AKL for 2 more nights, but because of the pool being closed when we are scheduled to go we are now going to VB for 2 nights and AKL for 3 nights. We were looking forward to using the pool, and were dissapointed to find out that it will be closed during our stay. If anyone knows if they are doing anything at VB to make up for the loss of the pool, please let me know .

Sorry to hear about the pool being closed during some folks upcoming stays. We enjoy getting in the ocean but prefer to hang out by the pool. I would if possible avoid a resort if the only pool were to be closed during my stay.

We have changed our vacation! We are now going in October instead. I really didn't want to be there when the pool was closed. I'm glad someone posted that! Thankyou!!!

The VM mentions the ocean as the alternative to the pool so I don't think they've arranged for any other pool use (there are only condos nearby and I don't think they'd want to set up anything that might lead to future "sharing" of the DVC pool by the condo.) It seems as if they should give some "point" discount but I haven't heard any mention of that.

September/October can be beautiful. The one thing to keep in mind is hurricane season. However, you always have warning about these and can adjust your plans if necessary.
