For all of those who've been in late January, how's the weather and crowd levels?

January crowds are light. Weather is very unpredictable though. You won't know for sure until about a week ahead of time. Could be nice with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s; or it could be near freezing in the morning with highs around 50.

Hi Holly, :wave2:

We've been twice during the late January time frame and both times the weather was nice and cool. It was much warmer this past December than it was this past January. It was still very pleasant and we wore sweatshirts in the morning while it was cool. It wasn't pool weather for us though.

The crowds were very low and we did'nt have to wait for anything. We had a great time! :teeth:

Thanks! I don't mind cooler weather, as long as it isn't downright cold! LOL

We were there Jan 20-24 this year. The first few days were sweatshirt/shorts weather with long pants and a light jacket at night. A cold snap came the last couple of days and we wore just about everything we had, including gloves. There were NO crowds and it was wonderful just walking on to whatever we wanted. If light crowds are important to you and you don't care about the pools/water parks, its a great time to visit.

Don't care about the water parks, and pools aren't a necessity, though the girls would probably still go in if it's heated (they did this past December).

It was 10 years ago, but when we went Jan. crowds were EXTREMELY light, except on the Saturday at MK. And even that wasn't so bad.

we went this past Jan. 22-29th. Crowds were minimal. Weather was good enough for me -- my kids swam everyday ( in the heated pools) and we were able to wear shorts a few of the days. We did have chilly nights, but it was worth it for the low crowds.

Crowds are low, longest wait was 10 min and that was Dumbo.Otherwise no waits at all
Weather's a crap shoot. I've got pics from our 04' trip that show us in bathing suits one day and winter coats another day. But beaches and swimming arent' what we go to WDW for, so it really doesn't matter to us.

FYI- Avoid MLK weekend like the plague, very busy.

been in january twice
first time wor shorts all week and the 2nd time i had a winter coat on. some people were even wearing hats.
very unpredictable weather
