I am considering booking the 4 day Wonder 1/22/06 but am concerned about the weather. I know it could be a mixed bag, but what has been your experiences?

Thanks for any opinions.

Our second Disney cruise was January of this year. We were on the 7-day Eastern. The weather was great, with only a light sprinkle on one day. The water at Castaway Cay was cold, but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying it. Cruise fares are lower that time of year since most children are in school. Good luck.

I second what thomprod said. I went twice...both Western and Eastern in January and had great weather. The captain trys to steer clear of the storms if he can. Other than that...if you are going on a 3 or 4 day...you may not like it in January because you stay close to the U.S....it gets a bit chilly. ;)

We have sailed twice in January and are booked to be on the 1/22/06 cruise. The weather is a wonderful break. Come join us. :cool1:

I was on the Western route of the Magic 1/18-1/25/03.

The weather was chilly at times, Key West at 61 degrees. Grand Cayman
and Cozumel were warmer, since they were further south.

However, the 13 foot waves really rocked the ship when it was time for
Castaway Cay.....so we missed it. We had an unscheduled "at sea" day,
which I didn't mind, but I would have loved a day at CC!

We've cruised twice in January and while the rates are great, the water in CC is still too chilly for us. That won't keep us from cruising during that time of year, though.

We cruise January 15, 2005 on a 7 day Western and found it very chilly. High 60's, low 70's. We missed two islands because of the waves, Castaway Cay and Grand Cayman, therefore had two extra days at sea. We decided to pay the extra $$ and cruise during March next year (2006). Hopefully the weather will cooperate so we can see Castaway Cay.

We were on our first cruise (3 night Wonder) Jan 27th. It was very chilly. No way I was swimming, the boat decks were breezy and cool. There were some people with winter coats on. Castaway was warmer but water was really cold. We ate lunch under the pavillion and my teeth were chattering. We went to Blue Lagoon on Nassau day. Morning was OK with some sum warming us a bit and we got thru the dolphin encounter. Sat at beach for a bit after lunch but too cold to swim. Beautiful Island though. It then clouded up and started to storm as we were heading back. We booked for April 2006 and I am confident I will be warmer and enjoy it more. We loved the cruise, the shows, food etc...
