I can't decide whether to go on Wednesday or not. I don't want to be insensitive to those who have lost so much or to those who still have no power etc... I am contributing to help those people as I can. I also thank God that it was not worse.

I am trying to find out how the parks were today. I had picked wednesday because schools were pretty much supposed to be open all over and thought the crowds would be favorable for a quick daytrip. Now it seems like schools are not open and I was wondering how crowds were. Also how is occupancy at hotels on propert (in case I just could not drive back that night).

I in know way am ignoring or insensitive to the terrible things that Charley has brought to so many. I am just wondering if a quick trip with my DD5 before school is still such a good idea so please do ot flame me.

Thanks

We spent yesterday in Epcot. Pretty decent sized crowds for this late in August, but quite manageable. The biggest difference we noticed (Besides all the downed trees) is that gasoline is very hard to come by . Sunday we waited in a 70-style gas line at the Hess in DD (they later ran out of gas altogether) - and noticed many other gas stations were the same. However, I noticed late yesterday that the situation seemed to be easing somewhat, so maybe by Wednesday most stations will be full again.

Most of the CMs seemed to be glad just to be somewhere with electricity.

So I would say Wednesday would be fine for a day trip.
