How is fulton crab house....

I'm not sure if it is on the dp, but we really enjoyed it a couple of years ago. We were there when they still had the "Silver plan" and they honored it. The king crab claws were unbelievable.

I'm not sure about the DP. It is very good seafood, stay away from the steaks. SOups are outstanding. Seafood appetizers are better than some of the entrees. A very nice restaurant, but I like Flying Fish better for the money and variety.

Service at Fultons the worst we've ever had at any WDW restaurant. Food is good tho---

We just got back and we ate there Friday night. We had a wonderful waiter (Phil) and the service was outstanding. The king crab legs are amazing. The crab and lobster bisque is very good too. I had the misfortune of having the paper shaker open up at the bottom and have pepper go all over my dinner. Before I knew it, my plate disappeared, they replaced the entree, the manager came over to apologize and I had my entree with the crab leg from the original plate included as it didn't get spoiled by the pepper.
It was a great evening. We had two children in our party, and they were fine there.
It is extremely expensive, but it was a special night!! :)

I guess it is hit or miss there with service because the last time we went there our waiter was the best WDW waiter we've ever had. I don't like seafood, I enjoyed the steaks I had there.

It's not on the dining plan though :(

we had a great meal there - yummy food (one of the best appetizers I've ever had and they removed it from the menu a few years back!) and good service.

Not on the dining plan, though.

We ate there for lunch back in May. As someone else stated it is VERY pricey. We had good service. The food was very good. I loved the boat and we would eat there again as we really enjoyed it. Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and enjoy! Life's too short! pixiedust:

This is always our first dining spot when going to Disney. They have the best King Crab Claws...a little pricey, but they are huge, and really sweet.

We've had a really good experience there twice. The food was great and, although I had read about service problems, we didn't experience any.

We thougth it was just okay, service, food and seating were all average. I'm glad I went as I've always wanted to try it but I won't be trying it again.

My wife and I try to go there everytime we are down there. We really enjoy the seafood. It is a little pricey but we know that going in. We have never had bad service or bad food. It is usually the highlight of our dining while in WDW.

Now there seems to be mixed reviews about Fultons. I think I am starting to teeter on the fence. Have second thoughts about going now.

Dh was there in April - stayed at the Swan on Business. He insisted on going back on our upcoming trip in October. He told me we were having the dinner for 2. I looked at allears and there is an entree for a minumum of 2 people. first time in my married life he told me what I was eating. :lmao: Guess it must be good. We are going for our date night before we hit PI.

We ate there on our honeymoon, and again on a subsequent anniversary trip.

The food was very, very good. The "crab experience for two" (I think it had a different name when we went down.....) was excellent. The crab and lobster bisque was also good. At some point (and it may be a special...I can't remember..but it's not on recent menus I've seen) I believe they had garlic and butter steamers/mussels as an app, and I remember that being very good, as well.

The service was very good, for us, as well though I admit we ate early dinners both times, so it wasn't exactly a busy time for the servers. They were both attentive, though, and made sure our drinks were always full and the table was cleared in a timely manner. Our apps came out quickly, and our food came out perfectly spaced afterwards. I wouldn't say they were the BEST service we had while at WDW, but they were better than most sit down resturaunts outside WDW, and they were FAR from the worst we've had. I'd say they were about average.

Other than Narcosees Lobster with Vanilla Sauce (and I must admit, we have yet to do the Flying Fish...I've heard they are very good, too. Next time!!), it was the best seafood we had on property. While Coral Reef was also good, I think Fultons was better...at least for our visit.

Fulton's is our favorite restaurant... best seafood on property.. we like Flying Fish also but Fulton's menu is larger and preparations are simpler.. we find Flying Fish entress to be smothered in sauces and capers and stuff...which is sometimes good and sometimes to much... Fulton's preparations are reliably simple. We think it's no more expensive than Flying Fish... and they have offered a DVC discount for a long time.

faindrops27...there are more good reviews than bad. I say try it...if you don't like it, you know not to go back, but at least you'll know for yourself.

Fultons is by far our favorite resturant when we are going for seafood. We love there lobster tails and it seems to be what we always order. Also can't go there without having the calamari for app. The service we have had the dozen or so times we have eaten there ranged from just ok to very good. If you don't mind spending extra for your meal I would suggest you give it a try. We are very glad we did.
