We are going to WDW in August, and being on the DlxDP, I have have made ressies for FF for DW, DD9 and me.

I have just seen some really bad recent reviews on another website that lead me to believe we may not have made a good decision.

Since June of last year, the average rating on that site has been 6.53 out of 10, with many complaints about very slow and very bad service, along with not very good food.

Anybody out there that could give me some comfort? :goodvibes

We ate there on May 19th. Place was very crowded, no vacant seats. We were seated a few minutes after checking in. Our waitress was at our table to take our order before we were ready. We asked for a bit more time and then it was a little slow before she got back to us but we had asked for time. From that point on, our service was very good. In fact our entrees arrived a little before we had finished the shared appetizer we had. We enjoyed the food as always.

Well, I'd like to know what site you are looking at?

We ate there last, a party of 5, in April 2008. My review (with pictures) is on the review board. It was as good as ever, and the service was fine. We've eaten there 3 times since last June, and each time was either very good or excellent. We have not noticed any slip in service or food quality, as of yet.

The food is wonderful!!! So is the staff!!! We ate there twice in December and again in April. If you are a wine drinker, they have a great list. Also, I am not one to eat mussels at any restaurant, but the ones served here "were like butter"!!! My husband had to share his appetizer!!!
I think that the only thing that could possibly cause someone to leave a bad review would be if they are 1) picky eaters or 2) don't like seafood.
If you are a steak and potato type of person, and eating out causes you and your family distress, then I would not go here. But, if you love to eat good food and enjoy the process, this is a great place!!!!

Have a wonderful trip!!!! Have a glass of Conundrum for me!!! (It is not on the single glass list, but if you ask, they will usually uncork a bottle and sell it by the glass.) :yay:

Ah. Thank you. I went there, and I quickly see one common characteristic of most of the 'bad' posts - almost all of them were on the dining plan. I've done the math before, many times, and can't see where the value is, at any signature restaurant, in spending 2 TS credits for a signature meal. Not saying the meal is bad, just that the value is not there for burning 2 TS credits on one meal. I found it funny that many of the low rating posts still said they would go back. I just have to 'consider the source' of the bad ratings.

Have no worries, the food is great. If I were on the DDP, and spending 2 TS credits for each meal, then I would have trouble justifying that 'value' as well.

Note: I'm not biased on the topic. I have found no situation where the DDP user comes out ahead, anywhere at WDW, by burning through 2 TS credits for just one meal. Break even, yes, but a great value (like some of the regular 1 TS places), no.

We were there in March 2008. The service was wonderful. The food was very good, but a bit overdone (not overcooked, but overdone in the sense that it seemed that the chef was trying too hard to combine too many things in each dish). It was still a pretty good meal, but not quite up to meals I have had there in the past.
