How is Fast Pass availability 30 days out?

My Wife and I are being wildly indecisive about saving a bunch of money staying offsite. How is the availability of fast passes at the 30 day mark?

not too bad....some of the prime time FP will be gone and some of the big rides like splash, space mtn and big thunder...no way for SDMT BUT...keep checking they do come back on when people change them , good luck ( we just did them 30 days out and managed ot get everything except SDMT for the 2nd week in June )

I got everything I wanted, including BTMRR and 7DMT but I think it depends on the size of your party. There are only 2 of us, so it was easy. We bagged an Anna and Elsa M&G but, from what I've heard, we were very lucky.

I was able to get 3 days of 7DMT fastpasses and Anna and Elsa during spring break without any issues. I did stay up until midnight though : ) I was able to get everything we wanted, now the times were sometimes later in the day but that's no biggie to me.

We've stayed offsite several times and generally been able to get everything we wanted. We don't have young children, so A&E doesn't interest us anyway. That and 7DMT are by far the hardest to get but not impossible. As noted, if it's just the two of you, chances are better. If you can't get a FP+ that you want at the 30 day mark, keep checking back often. People change their plans all the time, and you never know when something will become available.

Too late to edit but I should have added that I didn't book at midnight either. It's 5 am in the UK when it's midnight in Florida, so I booked our FP+ when I got up, varied between 7 am and 9 am UK time.

It is us and two girls age 12 and 9 at the time we plan to go next year. They saw Anna and Elsa on the last trip so I don't know how much they would want to see them. My youngest is named Elsa and is generally annoyed about the movie Elsa because people always ask her if she was named after the movie even though she is way too old for that to be the case. I was a little annoyed about it myself. One of the reasons I liked the name was it was uncommon.

I just got done booking our FPs for a party of 9 last night. I stayed up late every night until booking and got everything we wanted but 7DMT. The only attractions that had no availability were 7DMT and A&E meet and greet. I got all the FPs I wanted, just not all at the times I wanted. The only times for PP were in the early evening, but we will make it work. Just be flexible with your times and it will be fine.

Staying off site to save money is still worth it to me. The trip we our planning now will be our third since Nov' 14. If we would have stayed on site we wouldn't have been able to go last summer or on our upcoming trip. Fastpass isn't enough to get me on site.

Recently, TT and Illuminations have been completely booked by 30 days, but that is because Soarin' has been closed and Frozen is not yet open.

SDMT, FoF, and A&E completely gone.

Peter Pan, ETWB, Meet Ariel, TSMM, Frozen Sing Along, and Epcot Character Spot have only late afternoon or evening availability at 30 days out.

I have found that the room discounts I get with the AP are generally not as good as the ones offered to the general public, after I apply an online travel agent discount. And sometimes the online travel agent discount has more availability. I would not get an AP with the idea that it would help me get better room discounts. The AP discounts can be very useful if you travel last minute. They are usually available longer than the general public discounts- right up until the night of travel. We book months ahead. The availability is generally the same, and the discount is typically 5% more than the general public discount. When we use a 15-20% off code with an online travel agent, the general public discount rate plus the additional percentage off has been a bigger savings over the AP discount every time.
