How is Crystal Palace for dinner?

I ate there on our last September trip for breakfast. Didn't really care for the food. I know there are alot of DISers that just rave about it. Maybe I just went on a bad day. I'm wondering what the dinner is like there.

We've dined there twice (October 2006 & December 2007), and we enjoyed it.

My friend loves to try everything, and they had a good variety of things. Her favourite was a dinner roll with stuff in it. Don't ask me what--I'm the "plain" food person! She enjoyed most of what she tried. There were a few things she didn't particularly like.

I'm picky. Plain, well-prepared food served at proper temperature. I'm not fond of WDW salads in general, and this was no exception. Too much stuff mixed together or with dressing, and the "baby greens" looked like the weeds that grow in my yard. Now, I know they aren't, but they look the same. Since I have an ongoing, year-round battle with said weeds, eating something that looks like them has absolutely no appeal!

That said, they had prime rib and turkey at the carving station. Salmon was prepared nicely--some herbs on it, but they were okay. I just don't like stuff that is spicy or competes with what I am eating. There were about four veggies I liked--something in a sauce, but I tried a little and discovered I liked it. I'll be a little adventurous when I can try just a little bit of something and isolate it on my plate. Excluding dessert, there were a good dozen or so dishes that I enjoyed, and I liked a couple of the desserts. I'm not a big dessert person, so that's pretty good!

A three-year-old has nothing on this picky-eater! *LOL*

We tried dinner at Crystal Palace on our Oct/Nov 2004 trip right before MNSSHP and we won't be returning. We thought the food was awful. DH had the salmon which was actually raw inside:scared1: That was enough to turn us off for good. Some people love it there and that's fine......but for us, we won't be returning. That's what's so great about WDW......there's something for every taste and style:goodvibes

We love it, always go for dinner and in May we're going for breakfast as well! Its our fave place in the world!

We like the breakfast better, so if you didn't care for the breakfast you might not like the dinner...

We ate there in May for an early dinner. It was good. :-) However I do want to warn you. We wetn to Stitches Great Escape ride before checking in for our ADR. Once we started eating we quickly realized that a main ingredient in their food was the same ingredient that Stich burps! So it would have been much more enjoyable if we hadn't of gone to Stich's ride first. :rotfl:

We are going next month and we have ADR's again, but have noted NO STITCH prior to eating! :lmao:

Mmmm......Crystal Palace for dinner is fabulous! They have a huge selection of delicious food! It is the one must-do dinner for this family every time!:thumbsup2

We love it! We've had breakfast and dinner there and we make a stop there every trip. Give it another try! My DD loves the character interaction!!

We were there in December and I would rank it last out of all the buffets we had (1900 Park Fare-D, Chef Mickey's-D, Hollywood & Vine-L, Tusker House-L and Akershus-B).

The character interaction was lukewarm and service was lousy. The food was okay..not horrible but nothing to gush about.

I ate there on March 29th.(Got a same-day reservation!!) The food was delicious. The service was okay. I am going for breakfast on 4/8(mainly because I want pictures of myself by the partners statue in an empty park),and dinner again with my family on 4/21. I can't wait!!!

dinner is our fav there but lunch is aldo very good. But we typically reserve for dinner and just love the food and the atmosphere is so comfortable. :)

We've only been once, but we had a wonderful meal. The food was hot, fresh, and very good. We liked it so much we are returning in June for dinner again. :thumbsup2

We ate there last year and enjoyed it (especially when compared to the lack of options in MK). It was nothing groundbreaking, however the food was decent. In my opinion it is the best TS at MK.

I loved the adobo pulled pork and prime rib. I felt they had a decent selection and stuff for everyone. It was good and I can't wait to go back. I'd love to find the recipe for the pork but I can't seem to pin it down.

on our last trip we went there for dinner and we were so disapointed. the food and service was horrible. We will never eat there again.

The prime rib and salmon were both raw i thought it might crawl off the plate.:scared1:
