How is Alamo's QS at MCO working now?

In 2004, there was a seperate line at the terminal counter, then in 2005, I was sent straight out to the counter on the lot. I had heard they were going to make it more like National, just go straight to the vehicle and the booth.

Anyone been recently to see how it's done?

Hi, we just used Alamo for the first time on 9/24/05. We passed
some long lines in the airport, glad we didn't have to wait. Went to the parking garage and then to the office within the garage. Less than 5 minutes in the office and then we were able to pick from any SUV. We did wait another 10 min or so in a line of cars waiting to check out of the lot. Returning was a breeze had a reciept within minutes of parking.

How do you sign up for Quick Silver?? I signed up for Alamo.com, but I didn't see anything in their site for QS, I guess I'm missing it.

On Alamo's homepage click "Business Travel" then "Corporate Program", and go from there.

I am using Alamo for the first time. Can anyone sign up for Quick Silver, and is there a fee for joining?

They also have a "pay in advance" feature. Will that help us bypass the lines as well? We are arriving at 3:45pm, so I want to get out of the airport as quick as we can to beat rush hour traffic.

Who has used Online Check In? anna1111? I'm going to try it next week. The last two times we rented from Alamo we were stuck in line at the terminal for an hour; people were calling the other counters from their cell phones in line.

We did not use the online check in. I think if you use the QS plan you should
be out rather quickly. I didn't do much research about the online check in.
I know the QS saved us at least 1/2 to a hour vs waiting in line.

I just spoke with Alamo c/s and you can't attach a new QS number to an exiting reservation. I would have to get a QS # and make a reservation with that. I have a really good rate, so it won't work for me this time, hopefully the line won't be long!!!!

Wonder what the deal is with the rates lately?

I booked a midsize SUV a month or so ago at $160 total for 6 days using the $15 coupon.
Right now, it's quoting $350 total for the same thing!

Just glad we're locked in with a good rate at this point...

You can add the QS when you get to the airport. Go right to the garage. You will see the Alamo booth in the garage, they will take care of everything for you.
