I normally post on the VMK board, but I thought it was better to post this here.
I got to spend the first day of their trip with the grand prize winners. I had a great time and was glad that they let me share the day with them.
Their son Josh went on Mission Space last year and had never even heard of the dream team. When they called his mom, she thought he was going to be in a parade around world showcase at Epcot. They finally got it set up so they both could take time off from work at the same time.
They started their trip on April 1. I got up at 6:00 am on April 2nd and drove to meet them at their hotel. We met up with a tour guide at city hall in the MK at 9:00 am. We went on some rides, and stopped to get a drink and a cream cheese stuffed pretzle. Then the guide got a call that Fox 35 news was there to do a story. We had a good time with the news crew following us around. The reporter rode the tea cups ride with them. (I do not ride the tea cups, lol.) The reporter also rode Barnstormers with us. We went and had our picture taken with Mickey and Minnie. Then we said goodbye to the news crew and headed to splash mountain.
After splash we needed to get ready for the parade. It was really wonderful that they let me ride in the parade car with them. Daisy Duck also rode with us. It only took me about 3 blocks to realize everybody was excited and waving at Daisy Duck and not us. The winners all got dream ears to wear in the parade. They were sorry they did not have a pair to give me. It was cool with me though, my dream was to be in the parade.
After the parade it was off to big thunder mt. We had fast passes for everything. At the end of big thunder, they asked us if we wanted to stay on and ride again. Of course we did! We then went to Tony's for dinner.
After dinner they decided to go back to the hotel and swim. I decided to head home as I was very tired and had to work the next day.
It was a very magical day for me and I am sure my friends will have a wonderful trip!
