How I got out of a mixed marriage

good job, twinkie. OT: there is a recipe for two different kinds of twinkie cakes in a magazine this month..... twinkies all lined up - ice together - stuck on more icing to make two layers and then iced all the way around to look like a layer cake.....disturbing or delicious? you decide.

Loved all the latest updates! It's a great read!!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear more!!!

Great report. I knew what a Nab was. Check out my name....it is actually my son's intials though.

Waiting for more. :)

“Oh, Mommy… could we come back tomorrow?”
Sob! Your little one sounds like such a darling. Well, I guess he's probably not so little anymore... We were on an extreme budget last year when we went to Disney - I planned each souvenir carefully. I let my boys (3 & 6) have autograph books and a stuffed animal each, then their Grandma gave each 10 Disney Dollars. We spaced it out throughout the week and they had such a wonderful time w/ their little purchases. I was so worried (before we went) about not having tons of $ to spend on souvies each day. But there were so many wonderful things to see and do that they were thrilled with what they got :) I don't think they even realized that some of the other kids were getting way more "stuff". I can't wait to find out if your DS got the stuffed animal or the Pirate flag -------- I know that the best thing that he (and you) got was the memory of a lifetime! Your TR is phenomenal! Thanks for writing it and entertaining us so much :thumbsup2

Okay, we have applauded your writing skills, but I also want to say it is amazing that you remember this with great detail. Did you keep a journal while you were there? I would never be able to remember all these specifics!!

Oh NO!!!

I need More!More!More!

Please don't make me wait. :worship: :worship: :worship:

What a great trippy! I can't wait to read more. popcorn::

Oh no, my heart is breaking for him. He was so good all day- it's so sad to know this was your only day. The boy was hooked.

I can't wait to see how you handled it. :surfweb:

Don't leave me hanging this thread is great!! What a sweet story. When your dh rounded the corner with the mickey bars I knew this was gonna be great

and now some comments in no particular order
Shelby5514- you are awesome! I love that I have my own TR icon!

DisneyNutMary- hello to a fellow NWSM (non-wicked step mom)! Glad you are here.

NAB- I love your name! Does your son know you named him after a snack cracker? My kids had nabs tonight for dinner.

flipflop- I saw that too and I couldn't decide if it was disturbingly delicious or deliciously disturbing...

LaLa- I loved "overpacked and overdue" though I clicked on it thinking you were going to waddle your way through the World until you gave birth. Surely that baby would have dual citizenship... or at least a lifetime park hopper.... I came to hear about the dramatic birth at the bottom of Splash Mtn but I stayed because you are a great writer.

idofabric- thanks for the description... that is what I thought too....

Gigi1313- Since you knew the correct answer to our stump the audience segment you win.... a box of twinkies and a lifetime supply of nabs!

Matthewpaul939- Thank you so much! If I interpret your siggie correctly, your wife is far too exhausted for a day trip to Disney. Congrats on the new little one... a year will fly by and then you can use the whole "we need to go before we have to buy Junior a ticket" philosophy.

Teentoddlermom- I am planning on reporting on post 98 trips. I'll have to see how much I can get done before school starts.

Sleepydog25-ever since you replied I have started to think of myself as
"the original Twinkster".... no one around here gets it... (sigh)

SLDL-We wrote down what we did when we got home in order to more accurately compute our APH. I have since lost that list but we had so much fun that this is one of those days where we say "remember when...." and finish each others sentences. Like I said- this has evolved into family legend.. DS (now 12... yikes!) loves to hear about what he said and did when he was little.

As always, all errors will be blamed on the 1 year who is now using my cell phone to download something from the web... gotta run...

another great installment... i'm going to sleep thinking about how you answered that question and kept that little boy's heart in tact...

(p.s. my kids first time to wdw was in '99 and we only did one day at MK and i, too, could recite every detail... but it's just not nearly as magical as yours, nor am i as good a writer as you!)

thanks for all your time and energy and for sharing your wonderful family with us :)

my sister introduced me to this site a year ago, but I have just started using it to get tips like if the resort is decent and where the egg rolls have gone; now I can see why it is a way of life - the trip reports. you sucked me in. i hope your proud of yourself - ruining my chances for a promotion and such. thanks for inspiring me to record details of our upcoming trip (horrible long term memory:hippie:) so I can write one of these one day

my youngest is napping so I am using my "free" time wisely. Not cleaning, laundry or any of those other frivolous tasks but sitting here reading THIS brilliant trip report! Wonderful.......now where's the rest? :goodvibes
