How I Got a FOP FastPass 3 Weeks Out

YES - It can be done. I was super stoked to be able to finally secure a FP. I was checking any time I had a few moments during the day. I do not work constantly by my computer or phone, so it had to be as time allowed.

Yesterday morning as I was doing my 10th check before work, the sky's parted, the sun shone through, and I had a 9:30am FOP FP. I was really shocked since my AK day will end by 2:00 when I leave for the airport. I figured knowing my luck, it would be a later afternoon FP if one every came open.

Probably my biggest aid in this venture is that I am a single guest for this trip. It is a business conference with an extra day added for my Disney fix.

IT CAN BE DONE. I really did not expect to get lucky, but a nice drop of pixie dust for this trip. What I don't know if there is a better time during the day to check, but for this one, around 8:00am et was the magic time.

They just released a whole lot more. That is why they were there. Sorry to burst your bubble.

We got one yesterday for our trip next week. Anyone know why they released more? I hope the FP line isn’t ridiculous now. There are still a ton of early afternoon ones on the day I got.

Just look at the other threads on FOP... recent ones are talking all about it. I personally am not sure that they are MORE, I think that instead of holding some until day of (which we have known for awhile that FP's were being released day of) that they are not holding back any and just releasing the full allotment. However, nothing but logic to base that on, I don't know anyone in the know.

And here I thought I had discovered the magic formula. Oh well - timing is everything - and fortunately my timing was spot on for this trip. Now if only the Great Movie Ride was still open !!!!

OMG...........I was able to add FOP to our plans on the 2 days we're in AK during Jersey Week. My sister in law was so bummed when we got shut out at 60 days. We know have it booked for 3 days during our trip!!!! It truly is the best ride on property
