We wanted to go to Disneyland at this time of year because we wanted to escape the Arizona heat. But according to weather.com's 10 day forecast it's supposed to be 86 degrees on the 27th. I'm getting really bummed out by this ): I was excited to wear long sleeves shirts and be cool. Is 86 hot over there?

edit:And actually now I'm confused because my Weather.com app on my phone says 86 degrees is the high, and Weather.com's actual website says 82 degrees. Is a 10 forecast too far ahead to be accurate?

I'm also from Arizona and I find the 80s to be pretty warm, I think because of all the people around you everywhere. And maybe the concrete as well. LOL

But don't be too bummed, at least it won't be 108 like it was when I was there last month. I know you should always be happy at Disney, but it was pretty miserable. The black cloud that follows me around was in full effect those days! I'm planning to go back in December, but I'm sure it'll rain then. That's just how my life goes.

I just REALLY don't want to deal with even a little warmth. Hahahaha I want to wear my long sleeve shirts all day!

I live up in the central valley (about 5 hrs north of DL). Today our forecast is 89. So, right now it's slightly chilly in the morning but warms up around 10 am or so. During the day, it's perfect.....not too hot but comfortable. Once the sun goes down around 6:30-ish, it cools off again. It's not summer and the sun isnt directly overhead, so I think the 80's is a nice temp during the day. (if that makes sense?). Will you want long sleeves & pants during the day? Most likely not. Probably pants or capris during the day (or shorts if you normally run warm) with a short sleeve shirt. Night time will cool off and you will want a jacket then. Hope that helps??

First of all no one can really predict more than 3 days out accurately. As a weather hobbyist, weather.com and accuweather.com are the worst weather sites. Althought weather.com is nice for live radar. I show the MJO is building and I don't buy the 86 degrees on the 27th. I truly believe fall is starting tomorrow. Although, we can have 90 degree Novembers.

But to answer you question, 86 in So. Cal is hot when standing in the direct sunlight, but in the shade it's nice. Also, the mornings and evenings cool down quite a bit this time of year (expcept for last night0, the temps cool down into the 60's.

Exactly Right :thumbsup2 The relatively low humidity tends to make the shady areas very tolerable during the day... even at 86 degrees

Well today it's going to be in the 90s. It's supposed to start cooling down by Wednesday. As for your question, 86 might as well be 100. Once it's past the 80s you want to be in minimal clothing. It's a dry heat too so u can imagine...

For this time of year it stays hot till about 4pm and tends to cool down fairly quick. Once the sin goes down it is actually pretty chilly.

Since the OP (like myself) is coming from Arizona, California is noticeably more humid and muggy for us. 86 in Arizona is more comfortable than 86 in California.

Sorry OP, but you'll have to layer... it'll be cool in the morning and evening, but the middle of the day will probably be too hot to wear long sleeves.

Hot enough to melt Californians. :lmao: Here in Texas, we break out the sweaters.

Also, my bad! I was looking at the 10 day forecast for my city...haha the high says 82, not 86. Little better!

Unless you happen to be at DL when there is freak humidity like in July when I was there.

Consider that the days are much shorter now, it will be over 80 for just a few hours, long sleeves may be ok. Be sure they are light though. A jacket may be needed for the evening.

I wouldn't wear long sleeves if it's over 75. But it will only be really warm in the middle of the day (between 10 & 4).

Sorry but you won't need your long sleeves during the day but once the sun goes down it will get cool and you will want them and maybe even a light sweatshirt/sweater.

West Coast forecasts are notoriously inaccurate because of the Pacific Ocean. I rarely believe the forecast more than one or two days out.

For this Oregonian, 86° is shorts and tank top weather. For you, maybe not so much.

I was there a couple weeks ago when it was hitting the 100s. I'm from an area where our average temperature in the summer is about 70. I honestly didn't think it was that hot until it hit the upper 90s. I did carry a bottle with me and kept it filled with water to keep hydrated, but I think you are in and out of attractions, shops, and restaurants that it doesn't feel like much. Again, I didn't think it felt hot until it hit high 90s.

Just another tidbit... I'm a redhead and I didn't wear sunscreen when I was there. I didn't get sunburned until the temps hit the 90s and up the last two days I was there.

This past week was brutal when we were there, with temps in the high 90s.

Add to that concrete, asphalt, and tons of people squashed together in lines trying to not pass out when you get stuck in the spots with no shade...

86 will not be comfortable in long sleeves. Sorry.:sad1:

I was there this past Sun-Mon-Tues. It was high 80's maybe a low 90. It was hot.. all the asphalt etc. And I didn't even come close to needing a sweatshirt in the evening, it was plenty warm. I live 6 hrs North, in San Jose. Anything over 80 is "hot" to me, but we get fog here in the evenings.

DBF and I visited last week, and weather was definitely warm during the day. We're about 4 hours up north, and layers weren't needed until around 6 or 7pm ish. You'll definitely want to layer
