How hot in September

Thanks for all the info. We are going in Sept this year, the 3rd week. Two years ago we were in Orlando before and after a Disney cruise and my memories are about the same as previous posters. Hot, but not unbearable and yes, the rain does nothing for the temps! Follow all the good suggestions such as drink lots of water and find shade or AC for the mid afternoon. The best part is smaller crowds. :yay:

What is the free dining all about? Thanks!

Since 2005, Disney has been offering the Free Dining promo for Magic Your way packages with a 3 night minimum and a 14 day maximum (Basic Dining Plan; 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 Snack per person per night) during the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. The free dining offer is usually announced during the first week of April. The first couple of days it will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public. The booking dates for 2008 to the general public were August 24 through September 20 (but you could book up to 14 days past that date and still receive the FD promo) and you had to book by June 22 to receive the FD offer.

The free dining plan is one of the reasons I thought about September instead of October. Now I'm not so sure if it's going to be real humid. I have trouble breathing in real humid weather. I have an inhaler but I don't know.

Has anyone mentioned that it is going to be HOT??!!! :rotfl2:

We live in Northwest Florida where it's also hot and humid in June, July, August and September, finally cooling off a wee bit at night in October. I hate the heat. How did I end up in Florida? Long story.
We visited WDW in late August one year and my grandson kept asking, "Why is it so heavy?" He meant the air (humidity). His t-shirt was soaking wet most of the time, as was my entire body.

People tolerate the heat/humidity differently, which is why some people say it's a good time to go, especially with the slightly lighter crowds and free dining. Not me. I'll pay for my meals and wait until December or January. :thumbsup2
