We are going in September next trip & wondered how hot & humid it is. We went in mid October this year & the weather was hot but not too bad.

August and September are the hottest months in Florida. September is the most humid.

Sorry. We've gone the last 3 Septembers and it seems true, it does get very hot and humid but it's not too bad...

Extremely hot- you take a shower in your hotel, and as soon as you walk out of your room- you pretty much sweat for the rest of the day. And I am not a hot natured person.:goodvibes

We were there this past September and it was brutally hot and humid. There is really nothing you can do but drink lots and take breaks in the shade or inside when you can. It didn't ruin our trip at all, it just took a couple of days to get used to it.

We were there right after 9/11 and it was 95 degrees and REALLY humid. We will never go at that time again. We thought it was worse than July:confused3

well, it beats July and August...:cool2: take plenty of water with you ALWAYS and never underestimate the need for sunblock, a hat and shade
also be aware that it WILL rain.the rain will last 5 minutes and will do absolutely NOTHING to relieve the humidity,in fact it will only make it worse, so enjoy AC wherever you can
Florida is actually an awesome place to live 3 seasons out of the year, summer can be a bit grueling

My husband compared it to vacationing on the surface of the sun. We, personally, will probably not do September again because of the extreme heat.

DH and I went twords the end of September last year. It was hot but not too bad. I hate the heat but found plenty of things I wanted to do that kept me out of sun at the hottest times of the day. I'm thinking about planning our next trip for the same time.

We've done 3 years of every Sept and love it. Yes, it's hot and humid but it's not at all crowded so I can deal with it. also a great time to hit the water parks.
Usually around 90-92 when we were there. Our kids have off for Jewish holidays so for us it's a great time to get away for a 4-5 day quickie. Low airfares, rock-bottom hotel prices. Gotta love it. :thumbsup2

We went in September this past year and while it was very hot some days, others were not so bad. Pretty much the mornings were warm, afternoons got quite warm (seek H2O and take a break in the shade), and the nights were a fantastic temperature! (Esp. nice in the evening if it had rained in the afternoon...I know a little humid, but cooled off.)

We would definitely go back in September. Especially because even though it is warm, it's not as hot as a packed park in July. There will be a lot of people there, but not nearly as many. There's still space to breathe and the lines are much shorter.

Don't sweat it ;) Have fun!

So hot you will be dripping with sweat the whole time. We went last September and DH nearly melted. That being said, we still booked a bounce back trip for late September/early October. ;)

Yes it is HOT but the crowds are lighter so I think it is a trade off! When my kids were in elementary school, we would go the week after labor day and the crowds were always very light. I dont remember being frustrated by the heat. Now that the kids are in MS and HS we can't go at that time of year but it is still my preferred time to visit!

Make sure to drink lots of water, wear light colored, loose fitting clothes, take breaks in the hottest part of the day, drink lots of water, take advantage of A/C as much as possible, know it will rain almost every day (and NOT cool down temps at all), drink lots of water, wear lots of deodorant, bring your sense of humor, and DRINK LOTS OF WATER!! If you start to feel bad (no longer sweating, pale, extreme body temp, dizzy and lightheaded, lethargic), got to First Aid ASAP!! Heatstroke is nothing to mess around with.

September is HOTTT!!!!

Thanks everyone. I think the heat will be worth it if the crowds are light. It seemed pretty crowded in mid October, we went the 19-25th.

We went in September of 2007 and the crowds were not that "light" to us - more medium-ish. I think the 2008 crowds were slightly smaller than 2007 due to there be a lot of hurricane activity last fall. I think there were at lest 5 named storms during the free dining period last year. It will be interesting to see how the crowds pan out this year.

I am planning a large group trip this Sept and am concerned about the heat !!I have already told them AFTERNOON beaks are a very good idea!! Lots of water and plan plenty of a/c time !! I have gone in APRIL/May .. gorgeous weather , a little crowded !! In Feb a little to cool .. not crowded ! This year I am going solo in May so will see how that is !!On my list of times to go are Oct and November and December I'm thinking a 2010 Nov/Dec trip!!

We usually go in September. We plan to go to the park that is open late each day. We start the day off with 4pm dinner and by the time we finish, the weather has cooled down a bit, and we can stay until 10 or so. The crowds are not too bad.

Coming from Louisiana the temperature was fine to us this past September. But the humidity was incredible! And we're used to dealing with 80% plus humidity!! Definately keep bottles of water full and don't forget to hydrate often. Hurricane Ike was projected to make an appearance...Thank goodness we were spared that episode...but we still had two huge downpours for about two hours two days. We just threw on the ponchos and flipflops and kept on going. I would highly recommend September at WDW. We were able to secure all of the ADR's we wanted during Free Dining and even able to dine at other highly coveted restaurants with only an hours notice.
