Hey!

We have booked 16 days to Disney... staying at the Dolphin Hotel for 16 nights!

The cost of the holiday came to £4110 for the 2 of us including the following tickets:

21 day disney ultimate
2park / 2 day with 1 day free universal
1 discovery cove ultimate ticket, which also comes with 14 day tickets to busch gardens. sea world and aquatica (this last one seemed to good to be true so hope it is what it says)

Checked the invoice everything seems ok, but the discovery cove is coming under 1 nights accommodation instead on an excursion :-s so will be phoning up to query this tomorow!

Have any one expierenced any of the trip i have booked... stayed in dolphin hotel, or done any of the excursions?

Lastly.. . when the tickets arrive do we get all the park tickets as well?

Thanks in advance!

I have never booked tickets with my package I have booked all our holidays with Virgin as a package but tickets seperately.
It sounds to me like a typo error,I would ring and mention it and double check.
I've found Virgin OK,but everyone differs.

Hope someone else can answer your questions fully.:thumbsup2

i wouldnt have got universal tickets through them, i'm going to book the dreams unlimted one for $81

we normally find the tickets cheaper out there for universal as we normally do 2 parks in one day

dont get your car through them if you want one, we have just cancelled our car with them as they want loads for a 4x4 and us rentacar wanted £200 less

When you get your travel documents you will get vouchers for the park tickets, which you then exchange for the real thing. With the Disney tickets you should be able to get them added to your room key when you check in.

Other people have mentioned the Discovery Cove being listed as accomodation and I believe it turned out to be just the way their computer system describes it.

we have booked with Virgin 3 times and had very few problems. the only thing that can be an issue is being understood if you need to phone the India based call centre. Also don't email as they never reply.

hi

we booked through virgin in 06 and again this time, we didnt have any problems.

we booked everything with virgin, we booked 21 nights at the por, 21 day unlimited disney tickets, universal tickets and discovery cove the same as you.

i hope you have a great time

Hi,

To be honest I kind of agree with what others have said, we book a 'fly drive' with Virgin but do a seperate car rental package with Dollar as we find it works out cheaper.
Any theme park tickets, accomodation we book independantly too.

to the Dis.
We always fly Virgin to the US,and i have done since i was 15yrs old,so i may be biased with my opinions. But i love Virgin, yes they can get delayed(but so do other planes),they have there problems no doubt the same as other airlines do.But from what you read+hear i believe Virgin handle these outcomes better than others. In saying that,i have flown with them 7 times and from what i remember only once was i delayed going out by only 30mins.I like the idea that you don't pay extra for food+drink+to sit next to each other, the children get a free goody bag+the adults get a free amenity bag.You also have your own personal seat back tv.We have always found Virgin helpful+willing to accomadate, especially in person in the US,when we had a problem once with our hotel room.
I have flown with other airlines, but to other countries, and the flights have only been a few hours long, but they never compared with Virgin.

As for the hotel+tickets,i can't help with that.We only ever stay offsite on International Drive+ALWAYS book our tickets for the Theme Parks elsewhere.Virgin seem to always be sooo expensive for there tickets+excursions. Also there always vouchers+not proper tickets-so you will probably still have to queue to receive your actual ticket, which in turn add's time to your early morning start on the Parks.x.

when i booked my wedding with them they described it as "accommodation"

sounds like a great trip, have a fab time :)

Stayed at the Dolphin in 2006, really good location handy for Epcot, Studios and boardwalk. Because it is not operated by disney your park tickets are seperate from room tickets. You take the voucher to any Disney park and they give you a hard ticket. You can still have purchases delivered back to the hotel but can not charge things to your room. Still have all the other priveleges EMHs etc. You can get a refillable mug from Picassos which is good value. Dolphin has a great pool and I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

we booked a package last year, hotel, flights, park tickets and transfers all with VH and they were fine. However this year I have booked a Virgin fly drive and booked the hotel direct with Disney USA. I have brought a annual pass for disney which was only £60 more than what VH charge for the ulitmate ticket,(should pay for its self if we get a good room discount)

Hi

We've always booked everything with VH and had no problems at all. Car rental worked out about the same as booking with other firms because we get 10% FVC discount, a free car upgrade for staying in ASM and another free car upgrade for being FVC member so we went from economy car to full size for free. Just had to pay a few pounds more for insurance for bigger car.
Attraction tickets we get 10% off from FVC so again these work out more or less the same as booking with someone else.
VH also offer a price match on attraction tickets if you purchase them at the same time as the holiday.
As for DC.... ours showed up as a nights accommodation too. Nothing to worry about, it's just their computer system.
We just find it easier to book the whole lot together. I've tried the booking everything seperate route but always found VH around the same price and less hassle.

Hi

VH also offer a price match on attraction tickets if you purchase them at the same time as the holiday.

So if I see the tickets cheaper elsewhere and i've booked them with Virgin do they pricematch the "original" VH price or if you've had 10% discount they consider this the price match price? :confused3

If you book the tickets at the same time as your holiday, they will price match within 14 days of you booking against any other ABTA/ATOL registered ticket broker. I guess they will take into account any discount you have already received when booking the ticket. TBH, I haven't found anywhere cheaper than VH after receiving the 10% discount.

We've booked both times with Virgin Holidays and have never had one single problem. If anything was slightly out of key, they did everything they could to fix it...and it always ended up fixed.

If you're going to Universal etc, book transport through Virgin at the welcome meeting the morning after you arrive...much easier than worrying about getting taxis etc.

Also, Discovery Cove DOES appear as accommodation, but it is a day excursion. You will absolutely love it!

In my experience, VH are fantastic...no problems with them! Would book with them every single time...I've been to other places with Thomas Cook, First Choice etc and none of them come close..always have some problem or another with them. Not with Virgin :D

Have a great trip!
