Hi all! My girls are starting to beg for another trip to Disneyland (as in my eldest gets dressed every morning and tells me she is ready to go to Disneyland ) so I've tentatively put it on the calendar for next Tuesday. Right now I'm thinking of it just being a day at Tom Sawyer's Island, some autographs, the 3:00 parade and then some water time at DCA and heading home in anticipation of it being busy and lines with three 3 year-olds isn't fun.

Dh is pretty sure that the crowd will be lighter because of the economy. I think there are enough decent deals out there and the crowds should be pretty normal summer ones.

Thanks!

I've been reading and hearing from others that the parks haven't been too busy lately. Probably because APs are blocked out until August, among other reasons.

We were there last Tues, Wed and Thurs and it wasn't as crowded as we expected. We arrived at noon on Tuesday and rode POTC, HM, Matterhorn, the DL Railroad, Jungle Cruise and IASW between then and 4 pm. We never waited in a line more than 20 minutes.

On Wed and Thurs we arrived right at opening (8 am Wed and our MM at 7 am Thurs) and the crowds definitely built during the day, but still it wasn't as crazy as I was thinking it would be. Of course, this was our first visit so I have nothing to compare it to, but based on the number of "I'd never plan a summer visit" posts I'd seen, I was expecting mayhem.

Hope you have fun.

We were there Friday 7/10 - Sunday 7/12. It started to get crowded towards late Friday afternoon. The weekends were busy with the longest wait time being 60 minutes, which isn't too bad since I've seen worse though.

The only ride we saw with a wait time of 60 min was Splash/Grizzly, every other ride last week/weekend had much less than 30 min, even Peter Pan was just a 30min wait on Saturday night! We were anticipating much higher crowds but we were happy when they were much less than last year. :)

thats good to hear, we are going next tuesday through friday, and i was also hoping that since we are going in the middle of the week that it wont be that busy, we did the same thing last summer and tue. wed. thurs, was great but friday was nightmare with overwhelming crowds. i hope this time is the same during the week.

I was there from the 4th - 6th of July and surprisingly it was pretty slow on the 4th and 5th (Saturday and Sunday) and it only got ridiculously busy on Monday! We didn't get on many rides on Monday due to the wait and we had already got on most of them on the weekend, so we sat back and did more leisurely things. I noticed that it was busy as well on Tuesday, but not completely ridiculous.

that's actually really good for the middle of summer. we were there the last 2 days of september, and we saw wait times of 90 minutes for Space, Indy, Splash, Grizzly, etc. and that was on a monday and tuesday!

We are here now!!!
It was not too bad on Monday. It has been building and it was crowded today. We just left DL about an hour ago, it was really crowded. 1 hour wait for Splash at about 11:30 am though only a 10 minute wait for Thunder Mt. We did everything in Toon Town and Fantasy Land at 8 am (except the train and small world because we had done them the day before). At 8:10 Peter Pan was posted at 20 min but was closer to half an hour. Hope this helps

We live about 20 min away from Disney and we are there about once a week with our girls. The lines this summer have not been as bad as summers past. We always go during the week and we at all cost try and avoid the weekend masses. I would say that line waits are around 30-60minutes max this year......30minutes are the norm if not less.

What about Sundays? I was going to take the kids on Thursday, but DH wants to go and he's off on Sunday. We haven't been since school got out.

Jas for us it was busier on Friday night then on Saturday OR Sunday.....it was very strange.......

That's good to hear. I have been through madness during December at DL and WDW when they close the parks for due to capacity, so I was more than happy with those wait times.

We went yesterday and it was pretty good. Seemed like it was in early April when we went with my sister. We only went on two rides, though, and they had pretty short lines (10 minutes for IASW and 20 for Toad) but there was a 1:45-2 hour wait for PFF.
