We just got back from Disney yesterday and rented through Alamo MCO, on Sunday, Sept. 25 pick up @ 11am. No one in line, but us.. Not sure if it was an "off" time, or more people are doing the "pay in advance thing" We could not pay in advance because we had a coupon. Hope this was helpful

Can't help with recent trips, but when I booked a rental car for December, 2005, the rates dictated that I pick up my vehicle at S&D rather than MCO. I'll be taking DME from MCO to my resort, then picking up my vehicle the next day. And for some strange reason (fuel prices, most likely), premium & SUV vehicles are less expensive than compacts at S&D--at least when I booked! I much prefer a compact, but for savings of $100+, I can drive a premium (full size with bells & whistles). The SUV was $15 less for my trip, but I don't want to drive one!

The difference in rates (no codes or coupons) between MCO & S&D rates (compact less expensive at MCO, so I'm using that price) was about $125 less at S&D (returning it to MCO).

Go figure!

We rented 9/17-9/24. We got there around noon on sat 9/17 and the wait was about 45 minutes.

Wow, I'm shocked but glad to hear this.

My last two experiences were more like vossjemi's, but I can't beat the current deal I have through them. Last time they blamed computer problems, wondering if they're resolved?

No line on 9/27 at about 4PM. I also had Quick-Silv so they sent me right to the garage. They were out of the Equinox SUVs I had resvered so I ended up with a Trailblazer (worse fuel economy for sure!) and that took some time (about 10 mins) to straighten out.
