How hard to get BCV points through Disney

Hi, I have two guestions. First, how hard is it to purchase BCV points from Disney? I have 250 points at SSR but would also like to stay at the Beach Club. Would I have to have the exact number of points for a Beach Club stay or can I also use some of the SSR poits to make up the difference?
Just want to make sure I have enough points to cover a 2BR stay. Thank you.

There is a waitlist for BCV points. If you know what season you are likely to want to stay at BCV, you could buy half the amount of points needed and bank and borrow to use them every other year.

No, you can't just add your SSR points in at the 11 month window. Only the BCV points are available to you at 11 months out. At the 7 month window, your SSR points are available for use at BCV.
