bunk beds at AKL or WL?

We really wouldn't want to stay there without the bunk beds, because our kids are too old to sleep together, and we are not comfortable sleeping with them - they are kickers!

Has anyone requested bunk beds and not gotten them?

The 2 times I have requested bunk beds at the WL. I got them. The kids loved them.

The only time we requested bunkbeds at WL, we didn't get them. They upgraded us to a 1 bedroom villa at VWL instead.
Also, when we requested them at AKL, we got them and they upgraded us from pool view to savanna view.

Exactly when did you request the bunk bed room.. Zipbags ? Just asking, as we have never made a request like this in all the years going, so I was hoping to get them....

I believe we requested them about 3-4 months before we went.

We asked for and received a bunk bed room overlooking Otter Pond and MK in January this year (granted, that was in the second week of January when the resort was not full). When we checked in the morning of our arrival, the CM indicated that such a room wasn't available at that time, but, after some checking, he found us a great room with a great view that would be available later that day. We went off to the MK, and when we returned at 3pm, the room was ready. It was well worth the wait! Good luck!

Each time at check-in I requested bunks and each time got them....

We recieved a bunk bed room and we didn't ask for it. We were there in Feb.

On our trip in April, we requested bunk beds at AKL and didn't get them. I made the request when I booked the room (pool view). I also picked AKL mostly because they had bunk beds. They did upgrade us to something called a deluxe pool room but it still had two queens, but it was slightly longer than a standard room which was nice. But the bunk beds would have been much better since now each adult had to sleep with one kid, and our kids roll all over in their sleep! But we made do. For now on, we will fork up the $$$$ and book deluxes with a daybed since bunks aren't guarented. Or invest in a air matress!

Funny thing is, I just knew we would not get the bunk beds. I have never gotten a room request ever, and this trip was par for the course.

We requested a bunk room prior to arrival and didn't get it. Instead we got a Savannah View Upgrade!!!! (which we did not ask for) And since we only had DH, myself and 1 child, that was absolutely wonderful for us!!! I'm glad we didn't get the bunk beds that time, Savannah View upgrade was much preferred by us. Don't think that will work in your case though.

We didn't request bunk beds at AKL, because although we wanted them we really wanted a Savannah view most, so that's what we asked for. When we were checking in, the CM offered us a bunk bed room if we wanted it, and we jumped at it -- it was great!

I would gladly sleep with one of my wiggly kids instead of DH for that upgrade! Lucky you!

We had bunks in our standard view room the first night of our May trip to AKL and in our savanna view room for the remainder of our stay. We had not requested them, but my dh had discussed the possibility with the CM at reservations. I guess a note was made at that point, even though we didn't specifically ask. I found our bunk rooms at AKL to be smaller than the rooms we've had in the past.
