How hard is it to walk into AK's Rainforest after park closing

Say in july AK closes at 7pm and we want to walk into rainforest at 7:30 for dinner, how crowded is the place? is this even possible? Right now, we have a 7/2 ressie for 6pm and that was as late as we could get, but we don't want to waste park time eating - any thoughts out there?!?

I'm wondering a similar thing but am expecting the park to close at 5pm when we are there. I was hoping to be able to walk in. I would make an ADR but there is a possibility that we might go to DTD instead.

My husband and I are able to get in after a bit of a wait time after park hours. We go every few months or so and the longest wait I can remember was in December is was 75 minutes. July could be pretty busy, but you won't get turned away.

1) Just remember, the AK parking lot closes 2-hrs after the park closing.
2) No one in or out of the parking lot afterward.
