How hard is it to reserve a 2 BR

i am waiting on closing for new membership, and trying to plan a family trip for end of Jan 2017, closing most likely won't happen until April, how hard will it be to find a 2BR preferrably, AKL, BW, or OKW at that time(April or May)

You should be fine, particularly if you are open to OKW or AKL.

Understand that until 7 months out, which will be late June 2016 for a late January 2017 reservation, you can reserve only your home resort, so in April or May you will be limited to reserving your home resort (and you do not mention what that is). As far as what you should be able to get in a 2BR at 7 months out for late January, you will likely find the following open: OKW, AKV standard and savanna view, VWL, SSR, BWV pool/garden view, BLT lake view, VGF, and likely BCV and BLT theme park view. Unlikely are BWV standard and boardwalk view, AKV value or club level, and BLT standard view.

Dedicated 2 bedrooms are the last to book in the larger categories/resorts, the lock-offs go away because the studios are booked leaving the 1 bedrooms.

Home resort is SSR, and it will be acceptable to stay there as well, so I actually will have to wait until June then to try the others. And would really prefer dedicated over the lock off anyways.

Keep in mind there are no dedicated 2br at BWV.

Also, all two bedroom villas at AKV-Jambo House are also lockoffs. Kidani Village has dedicated two bedroom villas.
