Still contemplating DVC, lol...

I like to travel in May, January, September usually...I doubt I would ever travel during summer or December. I realize that for my home resort I would have 11 month window. 1) if I called at the 11 month time period, would I ever be told sorry, have no space at my home resort (BCV) and 2) when I called at the 7 month window would I have a hard time getting reservations at my non-DVC resort?

I know none of you have crystal balls, but I figure some of you have had experience with this, lol. Thank you!

Stilllllllllll contemplating DVC......... hey, I'm a little obsessive-compulsive too :D :D .

You would have NO difficulty getting reservations at your home resort 11 months out, though I would recommend calling at the earliest possible time for peak seasons, XMAS, etc.

However, the 7 month window is a different story. We HAVE had success booking OKW within less than 7 months, but I would guess that BWV would be more difficult. Of course, if BCV was your home, you probably wouldn't be interested in BWV. In any event, you can put yourself on a waitlist which OFTEN is activated:jester: :jester: :jester: . Peak season at HH is probably going to be tough as well with the 7 month window, but it never hurts to try;) ;) .......

January, May and September are low travel seasons at Disney, but also low point seasons for DVC. That means more DVC'ers travel at those times than some others. We usually go in January, September and early December. We have never had to worry about not getting our 2 bedroom unit, but we DID call day by day when we wanted a Grand Villa in January. January seems to be a popular DVC time, but no problem getting ressies at OKW most times.
