How hard is it to get into the shows since they now have fastpass for them ?

I have heard stand by lines have become longer for rides since the fastpass + even rides that hardly have had no waits before . My question is with fastpasses being given for the shows now does it cause others to have long waits or cause them to wait for the next show ? I'm talking about shows like American Idol, Indiana Jones, Nemo ect. ?

We went in March and because we had limited time in each park, I scheduled fp+ for Its Tough to be a Bug and Indiana Jones. Neither was necessary. The seating area is large enough that you should not have any more difficulty getting a seat than you would normally have. For Its Tough to be a Bug, there was a separate waiting area, but both groups were let into the show at the same time, so there was absolutely no advantage to having a fp+. We did have seats closer to the front, but I didn't necessarily find that to be an advantage.

I probably won't use a fp+ on shows for my next trip.

The existence of FP+ does not change the capacity of a show. The FP+ just guarantees you a seat at a particular show in the unlikely event more people want to see that particular show than the venue can handle. Unless you cannot or will not line up for a show, FP+ is probably not necessary.

I wonder about Festival of the Lion King. I would imagine that other shows wouldn't be a problem though.

From my understanding, the new venue for Festival of the Lion King will hold more people than the previous theater so even if it is more popular and located in a more accessible area, the waits should be the same.

Even in low attendace periods, I have seen people turned away from Finding Nemo and Festival of the Lion King.

Finding Nemo is best from far away center, which is often the case with large-scale visual theatre. Up close you'll miss some things and the overall effect is not quite as good.

Can you tell me where Festival of the Lion King is now located? I see where a "new venue" is referenced in a post. Thanks!

Harambe Theater in the Africa area... behind Tusker House.

For Fantasmic, over half of the theater is reserved: two center sections for Dining Package and all sections to the left of center are for Fp+. Standby guests fill all sections to the right of center and when that standby area is filled, those who did not find seats wait in the entrance pathway until 5 minutes before Fantasmic begins. Then they are allowed to fill in the Fp+ area.

Wow, that is hard to believe. that is a huge theatre, two sections for Dining? How many people is that? Amazing to think that so many people can be seated in the last five minutes, especially hunting around for those FP+ seats.

Does thsi mean that FP+ people can wait until 7 minutes before showtime before entering and still be assured of seating?

After using my3FP+, how hard will it be to book the 4th for fireworks or a show? If I do it in late afternoon?

I believe they have until 10 minutes before showtime to get in and seated and then the Managers determine the number of waiting standby guests that can enter.
