How hard is it to get a room via waitlist at HH?

Our HH trip for July got all messed up b/c we had to change some dates due to a family wedding. Now we only have 2 nights instead for 4. We'd be staying Sunday & Monday night. Is it worth it for 2 nights? Is the waitlist impossible? I told them we'd take any size room we could (except for a GV) for Tuesday & Wednesday nights. We are combining this w/ a vacation to visit friends in Atlanta.

Should I just cancel if we don't get it by 31 days out & try at the 7 mo window for a different year?

We decided last summer to go and had missed our 11month window. We wanted to stay the seconde week of July in a one bedrom and were told nothing was available. We waitlisted for each day individually and wound up getting four of the five nights we wanted. We had to move 3 times during those four nights which was kind of a pain since we were traveling with DD 3 and DS 1. It was however a great vacation, weather was wonderfully hot, ocean was like bathwater and the castmembers were friendly. While I wouldn't desire to move so much I would do it again if it was the only way we got to go. I would say your odds aren't too bad since you are flexible about room size, your chances are probably greater if you waitlist for each night individually. However like I said this increases the risk of moving alot.
