How hard is it to get a Boardwalk view in a studio?

Do you have to call right at the 11month mark to get a studio in a boardwalk view room?

Also could someone check for me if there is a studio at BWV avaliable for May 12th-17th. We are currently waiting for our contract to go through and we might just rent points for that stay. Do we always have to call to get a ressie or is there a site that we can check?

I got one with no problem at the 7 month mark.

They have always said that standard view was about 20% of the resort and preferred view was 80%. Now with the Boardwalk view, that's another 20% (approximately). And those include GV, 1 and 2 bedrooms. So that doesn't leave much for BWview studios. If you don't get it during the 11-7 month owner preference time, it would be very hard to get it during the 7-0 month time.

You can either call MS or you can e-mail MS from the member website. But if you are trying to get a prime time, you'll want to call MS. And maybe, daily.

There currently is no website to check availability. Only MS knows.

We were able to get a preferred view studio at 7 months for the first week in June. I waitlisted for a boardwalk view and it came through in less than a week. If it had not, I'm sure the preferred view would have been lovely.

We travellend in May for years, switching to the first of June recently. It's a very good time to travel in terms of crowdsa and availabililty, I think a waitlist for a BWV will come through for you.

When I first called to book our June trip, at the 7 month window, I had to take a preferred view at BWV and waitlisted for the boardwalk view. Well, within a week we had the boardwalk view!!! Looking forward to staying there for the first time. Since it is just DH and I on that trip we are trying BCV, BWV and our "home" SSR.

I booked three studios with boardwalk views at the 7 month mark, I am an owner at SSR and had no problem getting the three for May 19 - 26.
Cant wait to get there!!!!!

But if it is really important to you to get the Boardwalk view frequently, you really need to buy BWV points. Buy where you want to stay the most.

We managed 7 nights in a Studio with Boardwalk view at the 7 month mark. And we visited the first week of August this year - a busy time.

Congratulations on passing! FWIW, whenever I book a trip (I always book boardwalk view) I always ask if I should call day by day or if I can wait til the last day to book the rest. The CM always tells me to call day by day. I have never had them tell me to wait and call at the end. I hope you get what you want for May, good luck!

MLK weekend last year. Personally BW is too loud for me, if we stayed at BW again I would prefer the preferred view.
