How hard is it to book VWL at 7 months out?

Any experience with booking a 2br 7 months out at VWL?

For the end of October is when the res would begin?

Has this been a problem for anyone or is it a non issue?

Is the end of October a busy time for VWL?

The end of October would include the Food & Wine Festival, but that may mostly effect Epcot Area. I've only booked VWL within the 7 month window and it was a studio for 11/2001, but VWL was not sold out yet.

Maybe book at one of the other DVC resorts and get on the wait list just in case it dosen't come through, you'll at least have a place to stay. Good luck, waitlists are always coming through.

I booked a 1BR at VWL for Thanksgiving at 7mos with no waitlist for this year.

I've booked twice with no waitlist but they were for a studio. One was for 2nd week in Oct. the other was for last week May.
Calling and asking is the best way to find out. I know I think about before it is time to call and always make Plans B, C, & D just in case.
I made our OKW ressies about 4 1/2 months out and had several different plans ready just in case they didn't have what I wanted, but they did



so we're off once again to our favorite place !!

But booking at the 7 month window may not remain as easy with another very big DVC resort, SSR coming into the system. There will be much more competition for rooms there and at BCV too. I'm glad I own at these places so I don't have to worry about it.

Sorry if I misunderstood your post but I couldn't figure out if you meant it would be harder to book at SSR and BCV or VWL.

We bought into DVC last May and as soon as we were able to make ressies (first week of June, I think) I called and got a 1-br at VWL that November. We were nervous we wouldn't get it but it came through and we got a beautiful room/view to boot!

Yes that is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion. VWL and BCV are fairly small compared to OKW, BWV and the new SSR. With all of those new rooms and members coming into the system, the 7 month booking window will become more competetive at the smaller resorts.
