How Hard is it to Book Non-Home Resort for President's Week?

Maybe it should be called NOLA week instead or Southern Louisiana Mardi Gras week.

Mardi Gras week would be good, like Presidents Day Week and other holidays that move around, cause increase in attendance and not everyone would think of when scheduling a trip.

We have been for Mardi Gras and Jersey weeks, by accident... What a mess on both, these are avoid at all cost times. As is the Pro Bowl week, and Race weeks at Daytona. No one that has a choice should at these times go unless they like waiting in lines for everything.

This year we booked 2 BD at home BLT at 11 months, but wanted to stay at BCV. At 7 months, I tried for BCV and there was no availability. I waitlisted BCV and it never came through. At 7 months for President week this year there was only the lesser desired resorts available. I recommend booking home resort and waitlisting. You never know what might come through.

What days are most problematic around the Princess Half Marathon Weekend? Would a Saturday arrival for a week’s stay be hard to book at 7 months (or 8 or 9 months out for home resort)?

We got our waitlist for the Poly (standard) for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the princess marathon weekend...shocked. We got it 6 months out, put it in at the 7 month out.

I need again next year, but will book my home resort at 11month.
