How long should it take a bakery (Boardwalk to be exact) to get back in touch with you?

Originally I was trying to order the giant $50 rice krispie mickey head from Goofys Candy Co. Called the main line, they gave me Goofy Candy #. Called them, they gave me another number. Called them, they gave me the main number again. ...
Wrote an email explaining how I kept getting passed around and they sent me a form email or something talking to me about gift cards and the Disney Florist. WTH does that have to do with Goofy's Candy Co??

So I have given up on that one. I've decided I'll go for the big Mickey Face cake that runs $48 everywhere. I will have to pick it up (staying off site) so I've left 2 messages at Boardwalk Bakery with a chef Jessie. No call back.

Seriously....if I could cook at all I'd just make one myself, lol.

Does it take a long time get through to a bakery?

Have you seen the dedicated cake thread sticky? It's probably about 10000 pages now (only joking a little bit). A lot of it is about how to order a cake.

Yeah that's where I finally got the number for the Boardwalk bakery lol

Why is that tough? They sell it at Goofy's Cando Co in the case. I wanted to preorder it to be sure it was in stock.

I still have not gotten a call back from Boardwalk either. I don't understand why this is that difficult. Is there any other bakery you can pick up from? One that will actually return phone calls?

Well, I finally got my cake ordered. I had to call them yet again. This time a woman picked up. I said, "Yes I have left several messages and no one has returned my call." She said......"I just got back."

Ooooooooook. Did they not have anyone covering her? If not, couldn't they have put that on their answering machine? Sheesh! Boardwalks cake people kinda suck. Hopefully the cake comes out alright. I just ordered the Mickey Face so shouldn't be too hard for them to do.

I probably shoulda yelled at her but I'm kind of a wimp so just shrugged it off. Plus I didn't want to tick off anyone who was about to make my son's cake, lol

You mentioned you are staying offsite - did you consider purchasing a cake offsite?
