How good are the Osborne Lights?

I love them. For me, well worth the trip. If you can do it go for it. And if you don't enjoy them, hey, you're in WDW. Forever wonderful at the Holidays.

I went in with no expectations last year and fell in love. was so relieved this year when they did the soft opening whilst we were in town so we could see them one last time. They're overwhelming, a little crazy and very magical.

We went just as the park was officially closing. I read somewhere that they leave them on for a good while. Crowds weren't terrible! Love them lots!

Tacky Christmas decorations are my favorite! I will be there on Friday for the 1st time and I can't wait!

Going later this week to see them for the first and now I guess the only time! Won't mind crowds as long as everyone is having a good time!

I really like them but I'm a techie with a background in stage production so it's right up my alley. It was the only place I could immerse myself into a holiday light display as nobody around here does similar to their homes to experience it any other way. With family and friends it really does add to the holiday season.. It's a holiday display at disney scale so I can understand the "tacky" comments but it is exactly what it is suppose to be. A holiday light display inside of disney.

With that said, I don't need to watch it for hours, generally a casual stroll through and back, see a few songs synced and i'm ready for the next thing. I will really miss it, I hope they reconsider having nothing to replace it next year and go out of their way to bring it somewhere else. I can think of a lot of places it would fit right especially when AK starts to get a night version of the park that's heavy around lights and colors. Harambee with the osbourne lights would be great to me! I'm sure a slightly scaled down version could fit into the new larger disney springs when it completes..

I think this is where we are going to see the competition in florida, it's a display easy to recreate and I'm sure many osbourne light fans would have no problem seeing another theme park nearby for their holiday light fix...

No, the osbourne lights are not from the family of ozzy osbourne. lots of information online about where they came from

I know that, but since BeerMe mentioned Ozzy (well, he spelled it "Ozzie"), I thought maybe he thought they were, which is why I asked. And in fact, it's the Osborne Lights, not Osbourne, which is how Ozzy spells it.

Seen them last week for first time - loved them. Really sad that they are going as if I had known they were that good I would have visited at this time of year before

Love, love, love them! So sad they are going:sad:! We have been twice at Thanksgiving, the lights being one of the reasons we like to go at that time. DD and I are making a quick trip before Christmas to see them again and IJ, which is one of her faves before it goes. Definitely worth a trip, and try to head down close to closing, as they stay on for an hr. after closing and crowds generally start to thin out. Check out the little details like inside the house windows and all the hidden Mickeys!

Well if the number of last minute trips scheduled are an indication, they are worth seeing. I love love love them! I booked a quick 5 day trip just to enjoy them one last time ans am bringing my DDIL because she ans I ae the only ones in the family who love tacky loud crowded Holiday displays. The Osbourne Lights fits the entire bill!

We saw them Thursday night and I could have stood there for hours. So cool! We went during Fantasmic so the crowds weren't bad at all. After Christmas might be a different story, though.
We went last Thursday, too. The park had closed and it had rained quite a bit, so crowds weren't an issue.

OP, it was my first time seeing them and I was impressed, but not enough to plan a trip around it. We stayed for two songs and left.

We were there this past week and made sure that we saw them on two different nights. The first night was really crowded, and the second night not as much. I LOVED them, but I am sucker for anything Christmas. If you enjoy Christmas songs and lights you will love them. Even though it was crowded...it's not like you really need to GO anywhere, so I didn't mind it. Just kind of went with the flow and soaked up the atmosphere. I had never seen them before this year, but we made a special trip so that we could see them before they ended. The lights exceeded my expectations and I am very glad that we made the trip!

We've seen them twice and thought they were very impressive. We plan to go and see them again this year

I loved them, My Sister want too leave after 5 minutes.

you can see them always when you Go to sleep and you close your eyes lol!

Ok i am the girl who over decorate for christmas. I cryed when i saw the tree at magic kingdom...

Guess what guys?!? Hot off the presses.... I just read today, (not sure where or which article), they are moving to Disney Springs next year. A lot of folks believed they might go to Epcot, but evidently they are going to be set up at Disney Springs! Cool, huh?
Now, I would hope that what a read was accurate. If not, I'm going to be eating a lot of humble pie...

Found it! It was written on Chip and Co. Says it's a rumor until actually confirmed.
Sorry, I don't know how to post the article here.

I loved them so much. The first, and sadly only time I've seen them was during the W&D race. I literally gasped and stood to the side and spent way more time in there then I should have. I feel spoiled to have gotten to see them without any crowds.

If you have a chance go before they're gone.

I cannot even imagine the crowds that this would create. Merciful heavens.
