How fashionable are you?

I have no fashion sense. I'm sure that people think I should be on What not to Wear at times. During the winter, I rotate about 4 sweaters and one jacket that has an ever-expanding rip.

You're describing me...except my jacket doesn't have the rip...yet. :lmao:

I think I am okay...I stick to the basics.I wear a lot of black, gray, dark denim, black boots or flats. I also love my sweats and don't care about going to the store in them. I have to in between- it's only cute or total crap!

Yeah , I am.

I am addicted to the show "What not to wear." To me, its not about spending oodles of money, but knowing what cuts are classic , well fitting, comfortable and showing you for the best 'you' can be. :thumbsup2

I love clothes and fashion, though I always dress for my body type first. There are a lot of trends that just don't suit me, so I stay away from them and go for more classic pieces.

Me too. I totally like the leggings under dress look that is now the trend. However, I could NOT wear peg leg jeans, and I can't believe they are coming back with a vengeance as they make women look like a giant icecream cone.

Did you know they make scrubs with "bling" on them. I wouldn't wear them but I guess some do. Are you a nurse/doctor or another profession?

HaHa - I don't think I'd go for the bling, however I do have the most 'fashionable' scrubs I could find. I get compliments on them too:rotfl:

I am an Orthodontic Assistant :teeth:

So are you fashionable?

Um...no. :rotfl2::rotfl:

My wardrobe consists of jeans, capris, blouses, sweatshirts, t-shirts, flip flops, Keds and boat mocs. Now that's not to say that I look bad. At least, I don't think I do.:rotfl: I'm really not concerned with what is or isn't in fashion. I go more for what I think looks okay on me, fits and is comfortable. I like the LLBean/Land's End look. I also do well shopping at Kohls, Sears and Penneys. Nothing too fancy for me.

Nope. I absolutely HATE shopping, and I'm always cold. So, sweats and long johns for me at home. At work it's basic pants and sweaters in the winter, long sleeve cotton shirts in summer. I really tried to wear cute tops but froze my butt off and it just wasn't worth it. I found high heeled boots I like, but in summer I wear a low heel. I'm afraid they are kind of old lady shoes, lol. I'm a mom and 40 by the way. I did once have a friend say she wanted to sign me up for What Not to Wear. I really need some more pants for work but I've been avoiding shopping for them for about a year now, no joke. I just don't have time, and when I do, shopping is the LAST thing I want to do :rotfl:

HA-not even-i work in a profession where there are VERY few females-so the dress codes were designed for men-khaki slacks and polo shirts or oxford button downs.-i do wear the odd skirt or dress if i am meeting with the goverment or briefing senior commanders but i have a lot of professional clothes from my previous job that just hang there otherwise.
my personal style tends to be comfortable and somewhat "bohemian"-ankle length tiered skirts, and comfy shirts, jeans and my collection of harley t-shirts-dangly earrings-you get the idea.
I can and do dress appropriately for military social events-i know what fashion is-its just not a value for me.

Thank you! I think that describes me perfectly! I want to look nice, especially for my husband, but overall comfort rules. I pretty much live by that credo. Comfort rules. I even carry it over to my home. I want people to come in and feel comfortable, not like it should be behind a velvet rope. My furniture is nice but it wouldnt be here unless it was confortable!

I understand fashion quite well, and more importantly, I understand fit and know when something flatters and when it does not.

However, these days my figure is shot to hell and there just doesn't seem to be much point most of the time in spending for nicer things that are more likely to be most flattering, or taking the time to alter them. I saw a lovely silk blouse on clearance yesterday and passed on it, because I know that my 2 yo would ruin it in less than an hour. Mostly I live in chinos and sweaters right now, as my workplace is quite casual.

I am bad about tossing out clothes that still fit and flatter, even if they are out of style. I've got oxford shirts with dropped shoulders in my closet still. That's what parenthood will do for you -- I just don't have the time to shop carefully anymore, so I hang onto basic things that still fit. I was just asking myself the other day if it's really necessary to go from hip-length to longer tees, LOL.

I use to wear such out fits in which i feel comfortable and that is called fashion for me.

I try. I'm not always successful, but I have my stable of work clothes (black and grey pants, color silky shirts/blouses, shoes, jackets) that get updated once a year plus my fun clothes that I enjoy wearing on the weekend.

I just know, however, that I when I die, it will be in an uncoordinated set of pajamas with blue bottoms with a cocktail glass print and a pink Eeyore shirt.

i like to think i am. people often tell me they lie my clothes, so i guess i am. but i go for what i know i look good in, not what the latest trends demand.

I enjoy being fashionable or at least trying to be. LOL. I enjoy looking at new fashions especially in the summer. Not a huge clothes hound though because usually I'm picking up some thing for my kids, like most mothers but I'll treat myself once in a while to a new top or a new skirt to update my wardrobe.
I hate looking like I'm 10 years behind the season.

I am not particularly fashionable - I have a few nice tops but daily is jeans with sneakers. If I am dressing up it is jeans with boots and nice top. Since I stopped working full-time I don't really buy any new clothes. I try to look nicely put together - no wrinkles, etc but definitely not fashionable

i am as fashionable as my budget allows. so, basically, i try to keep myself in nice clothing. i am a pretty basic girl though. i would LOVE to buy more high-end clothing, but for now, i'll stick with ann taylor loft, gap and j.crew.

i am a mom and photographer. so. comfort is important to me. but i also want to look nice for my clients, but with easy clothing.
