how far out on discounts ?

When (and hopefully not "if") they announce the next discounts, how far out do they go usually, 3 or 4 months? Looking and waiting (not patiently either) for August discounts. 6 more months - I dont know if I'll make it! Thanks.

There's a rumor on another board that a new package deal will come out mid-March and run thru July. Although you probably have a "book by" date. There used to be a place on Mousesavers.com showing the history of code release dates but I can't find it right now. Maybe someone else can help out.

We too are going in August. I just called CRO and checked out the AAA rates. This is what I was quoted....

Aug 12th - 22nd..10 nights room only at POR for a total of $1365.00 or $136.50 per night.

For Thanksgiving at POR 4 nights from Nov. 24 to 28th
$475.00 or $118.75 per night.

I feel that the Thanksgiving rate is a good one but its still too high for August.

She said that AP rates are going to come out within the next few weeks and said she thought they would be good thru summer.
I doubt they would be good THRU summer. Usually its till July and then late summer / fall codes come out sometime around May.

If I wanted, I could book the AAA rate and then when AP rate comes out have it applied.

I have decided to wait. With AP rates, our August trip should be +/- $89 per night and the same for Thanksgiving.

I am not really concerned about August. But Thanksgiving has a tendancy of selling out.
