How far out do you book?

We will be traveling to the World over spring break 2013. It's the week before Easter, and yes, I know it will be crowded. We last did Disney in July 2010, and the crowds were huge, but so was the heat, which is why we're opting for spring break this time. My question is, how far out do you book your vacation? I've done some pricing online using the WDW site, and I can't see anything beyond 12-31-12. Thanks!

You can probably book for next year by calling instead of using the website. I book pretty far out, usually a year or so. I have a thing about making sure I can get the resort and room type that I want, so booking far ahead works for me.

We booked our Sept. 2012 vacation back in Aug. 2011. For our first trip, we went in mid-April and the weather was very pleasant. I don't remember if it was around the time of spring break because it was a long time ago, but I do remember the crowds being very reasonable.

I book as soon as I know my dates. If they haven't been released by Disney yet to do it online then calling is your best option. Next year's packages and rates should be released in August so online booking should become available then. Just remember to keep your eyes out for the discount offers that will be released as your dates get closer so you can try to apply them to your ressie!

We do room-only reservations, so its 500 days from the final day of the visit for us. We don't do packages, so I'm not sure how far in advance a package can be booked. Can always call and find out.

I have started booking every year in January for our June trips.
