How far is Radisson from beach access?

We would like to spend one extra day after our cruise just hanging out on Cocoa Beach. How far is the Radisson from good beach access? What would be the best hotel for this? Has anyone stayed at the Resort on Cocoa Beach?

My hubby and I stayed at the Raddison just overnight last month. It's not close to a beach as far as I could tell. But it did have a nice pool area.

If you are looking for beach front....try Ron Jon's Caribe Resort. I've heard good things from others on the board about it. That is right on the ocean and from the web site it looks beautiful. I'm considering staying there next year for the Western. The only thing is that I'm not sure if they offer free cruise parking like the Raddison does and shuttle to the terminal. That was a great luxury I must admit.

On the maps it looks like it might not be too far from the beach. Does anyone know if you can walk to the beach from the Radisson? Thanks!

It's probably about a half-mile each way through a mostly residential neighborhood. But if you're spending an extra day in Cocoa Beach, I wouldn't stay there. There are many other resorts that are much more convenient.
