How far is CC from Nassau?

I have tried to answer this question myself by using Live Search, but I can't find Castaway Cay.

I suspect that Castaway Cay is pretty close to Nassau. While on Castaway Cay, I saw islands off in the distance that looked like they had some good sized buildings on them. Anybody know what islands these were?

Can anyone post an aerial photo or link showing Castaway Cay and its neighbors?

On maps.google.com search for great abaco island, bahamas. Switch to satellite view. Then go southwest till you see a small island at the edge of the blue water. It's just a but northwest of another larger island. Zoom in and you will recognize Castaway Cay.

May be an easier way of getting there, but google maps didn't recognize Castaway cay.

CC was once named Gorda Cay.

Here, I put a red circle around Castaway Cay:

So, there are some very large islands pretty close by.

And, here is one of little CC in relation to Nassau. I think the red circle might be a little too far to the north, but it is pretty close.

The red circle is very faint. It is right next to the "h" in the word "Channel" In Nortwest Providence Channel, directly north of Nassau.

So, when the ship leaves Nassau for Castaway Cay, I guess we are just sailing around in circles all night?

CC was once named Gorda Cay.

Actually, Disney can call the land they bought anything they want but the island is still the Bahamian Island, Gorda Cay and the island is labeled that on nautical charts (at least every one I've seen or used)

According to my nautical charts, CC is 69 miles from Nassau.

GREAT map homework! thanks. So when my kid and I take the Eco tour on the waverunners, is it over the deep open water (dark blue on map) or in the "shallows"(aqua colored on map)?

If anyone has been on it, where on the map does the tour go? I heard that we'll frolick out to a sandbar, then come back...looking at the maps, it seems the east side (right) is the route.
