Hi all-

I have been to Disney World a number of times, but am thinking of visiting Disneyland for the first time next Spring. How far in advance should I book a hotel? I will probably choose a good neighbor hotel. Do some of the nicer ones book far in advance?

Thanks for your help.:thanks:

i booked mine in jan or dec for this oct trip got 100night quote at desert inn right at the cross walk for a big room and special room with jecuizy tub
desert inn is not a good narbor hotle
if you jhave to have one of them camolot inn was grate in nov-dec last year saw fireworks every night from room 404(i think) and hojos has a good rep on here and a dis rate or entertainment rate.

I always book as soon I know I am going. For DL, it depends on the time of year. If you are going over spring break, I would book your room as soon as they are available to book. DL can get crowded this time of year.

For our October trip, I just booked in May.

i need a calnder for next dec in 2009 before i can book but by oct i will know and will probley do it in person when there lol

It all depends when I know I'm going. I'm going with my family next April after my cousin's wedding in San Diego. I'll book as soon as Disneyland.com starts accepting 2009 reservations, which will be in July or August. :goodvibes

sooner than I did. We waffled, dh was busy, etc. and 2 wks later the prices had gone up by $400 for our stay. SO, at least 2 months prior - more if you can.

With the exception of DL packages, the nice thing about making hotel reservations, is you can usually cancel them without penalty a couple of days before you are scheduled to stay if something comes up or plans change. So it doesn't hurt to reserve them early.

I reserved in May for our Aug trip. Didn't know we'd get extra time for DL until I booked our air when I finally got a deal on tues return air. We have disney view at hojo...at first not available, but checking every day a spot came up...haven't seen any since. So, book as soon as you know would be my advice so you get what you want.

I just booked the other day for a Dec. 7-12 visit to DLR. And it's only June. So 6 months out got me the Ent. rate at HoJo's with 2 queens and a garden pool view in building 2. Yay! Now my kids can't talk about anything else. :rotfl2:

i think whewn i finely get the dates figuered out ill book hojos and desert inns just to be safe for dec 2009

I always book just as soon as I have pin pointed my dates. On occasion, I have had to go back and change but generally that is no big deal and have always honored the rates I was quoted earlier. Often I have booked when they had not posted their rates online yet. So far it has always worked out that I get a better deal than when they finally get around to posting.

This year I made reservations in January for our November trip. Last year's ressies were also made in January for our September trip. Early is always best!

I booked December at Desert Inn as soon as they opened up the room right after the first of the year. You have to, to get the room you want at the price you want. I wanted a C-1 family suite for about $100 at Christmas and I got it. You dont' have to pay for it, just remember to keep the reservation handy in case you have to cancel it or they will charge you. Just don't forget about it.

whats a c-1? im gona have two queens and a couch in a diffrent room. and the spa room two tvs
