Just wondering how far in advance some of you started planning. As I previously posted on another thread here, I wasn't a Disney bride, but do *HOPE* to renew our vows in the next few years. We had a small church wedding, so I hope to be able to have a BIG renewal ceremony. Of course, we haven't decided on which year we want to plan for yet, but I have started THINKING about things and looking at dresses, but other than that, not knowing when we're going to do this makes me scared to try and plan any of the other details...not to mention it seems like it would be kind hard to plan anything without signing the contract with Disney. So this made me wonder how far in advance everyone else started their planning?

I haven't "officially" signed a contract with DFTW yet...we are planning an Escape package at WP so we have to wait 8 months out. But I wanted to make sure I got Randy for photography, and Ana for hair/makeup, and Stan for video...so we have already contacted them and I told them the "date".... I have less then a year. I figured I didn't want to wait to hire these people in fear they would be taken! They are all very flexable with the chance my date would change! I just have to call them when I confirm my DFTW time! :yay: Hope that helps!

We didn't start planning until 8 months out when we got our date and then didn't really start planning too much until 7 months, but I've decided to use my summer to plan the wedding. I'm a teacher and I will be done will all planning come august 25, or else!!

:wizard: Good Luck!!!:wizard:

With disney it's important to remember you can do as much or as little planning as you want. You can simply fill out a form and leave it all to them or you can get into all the details, whatever makes you happy!!

I got engaged in January of 08 and by March of 08 I was at Disney talking to someone. I think you can start planning as early or as late as you want. Yes not having contracts as early as you like isn't fun because you are always worried you won't get your date but you can fun with all the other stuff. I wanted to get a lot of the planning done over the summer so I could concentrate on school in the fall.
