How far in advance is good to book a Disney Cruise? We are thinking about going in January 2003. Can you pay it off in monthly installments? Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Dawn

Don't wait any longer! The earlier that you book, the BIGGER your early booking discount will be. You only need $200 per person as a deposit, and the final payment is not due until 60 days before your sailing date. I highly recommend Dreams Unlimited for handling your cruise reservations. They have provided top service to us! Contact them for a rate quote at: www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com

We've already booked our Land /Cruise, Feb 6-13, 2003. We were able to secure stateroom 5020 with the secret porthole. It'll give you more time to save and a better staeroom selection. Also, I believe you can make payments with DU. Don't quote me though.

We are booked for Feb 2003. I just have my deposit and don't know if they have any payment plans.

You don't have to have the balance paid off until 60 days in advance of your sailing date. Last time we sailed we took the balance due, divided it by the number of months we had left (not including the 60 days in advance) and sent in that amount each month. It was a great way to pay off the cruise a little at a time.

This time we booked with our DVC points and they require and cruiser's paying cash to pay the entire amount when you book. I really liked the monthly intallments better. :)

I booked a year in advance and every time I got together a few hundred I would call the cruise line and apply a payment, I am down to only oweing 700 for final payment next week!

We've booked already for March 2003. And by the way, don't get room 5020 too dirty because that's where we'll be staying too!

We have already booked for Jan. 25-Feb 1 - 7 night Magic for 2003! We got a good rate with Dreams Unlimited. We also received a rebate from them. I believe they have a stateroom credit special going now. The earlier you book, the more you save; and then (so they tell me) DU will apply any additional savings when they are available!

We booked Cat. 6 with verandah - room 6080 - for our Jan. 2003 cruise!! I haven't heard anyone else say they are booked that month, but I'm sure there are plenty! CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Happy sailing!!

Our last cruise was in Nov. of 2000 and we booked our next cruise almost as soon as we got home for 11/2/2002. This was almost 2 years in advance and we send payments toward our balance most every month so it is almost paid off and then we can begin saving for the tips , spa and cruise merchandise. The anticipation is almost as good as the cruise itself and this board keeps us going until then. Only 259 days and counting !!

We are already booked for all seven of our cruises in 2003, running through November of that year (not to mention 7 more in 2002). I frequently try to get the secret porthole rooms, so booking far in advance is even more critical.

We booked last week for the seven day cruise Jan. 25th. Our first cruise with Disney! I tried to get a secret porthole room but they were all ready gone so I would book ASAP. I cant wait, Im saving all my money!

We booked our July 2003 cruise already with Dremas -unlimited. Last cruise we waited and we ended up paying a lot more. We used Dremas last time and they were GREAT!!!! Whoopie cruise just 511 days away!!!! Hmmm somehow that sounds more depressing than I tought it would..oh well at least we are going. Good Luck!!

We booked last March for our June cruise this year (16 months in advanced), specifically so we could get 5020 (we'll try not to trash it). We've been pretending to pay it off monthly by depositing our "payments" in a savings account and eeking out a little more spending change.

The only problem booking that far in advance is that you go crazy with anticipation!
